What we need to start doing is having armed rapid response groups in neighborhoods that can outnumber and swarm police doing raids to make sure everything is by the books.
Imagine 30 LEO'S raid a house and within 5 min they are surrounded by 150 armed citizens making sure they are not up to any funny business, call it a constitutional audit. I love this story so much. The officers have no expectation of privacy on someone else’s private property, performing their jobs as public servants. Afroman owns the images and can do with them what he wants.
I agree 100%, a cop's paycheck should be contingent upon a body camera, and your only on the clock when the camera is rolling. Also, no ability for the police to mute or pause the recording.
Raiding a home with dozens of armed officers with false charges of kidnapping is also humiliating and traumatizing. Afroman should sue them instead.

I had police show up at my house once for unjust reasons and they covered up my security cameras with tape, which I find concerning. Why are they covering up my cameras, are they afraid they are doing something wrong?

It's bs cause cops can come and ramshackle your house for nay reason and leave you with the bill, even if they were wrong.
I'm not certain you understand completely. That was a hit-squad, they weren't there to arrest him. They would have owned the entire property, home, and everything in it had they caught him there. (These squads of real life mercenaries are operating in multiple states all over the country today) He is lucky to be alive right now and should move to a wealthier area where his money doesn't make him stick out and he can blend in so this won't happen to him again.
This isn't a time to be stubborn or brave, because this is not a scenario where you can win. He needs to seriously consider moving to an upper class area in a safe county in a different state asap. I worry we will be reading sad news in the not to distant future if he doesn't...

Imagine breaking into someone else's home, tearing the place up and then getting upset that the recording of you breaking into their house was used in a music video. The fact that they think it's a violation of THEIR privacy is a perfect example of how the charges were trumped up and bogus. They are embarrassed by their own actions and mad that Afroman isn't as angry as they are.

The police should have had body cameras on anyway filming all this anyway. If they did he could have used that body cam footage for his video as it's public records and fair use

The fact that ABC News can show the same footage Afroman did, make money off of it the same way he did via views on TH-cam, and not have a lawsuit filed against them shows exactly why the police have no case against Afroman. Props to ABC for making this story and getting Afroman some support. If the reports were true then a simple stakeout would've done the job, and whoever made the false reports should be charged. These police should also know they have no grounds for a lawsuit. They were probably hoping to find a stack of cash under his mattress.

If someone breaks into our home, rips off all their clothes, shoots up heroin, masturbates, and then decides to pee on the floor, then there is no expectation of privacy. If they get filmed and feel embarrassed because of it, then that's their own fault.
The officers in question should be filing a claim against whoever sent them.
