- Step-by-step guide to baking my quintessentially British 'Sticky Toffee Pudding'
ingredients:-
Cake:
250g dried, pitted dates
Boiling water
1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
100g butter (room temperature)
220g brown sugar
2 lightly beaten eggs
128g self-raising flour
Toffee Sauce:
60g butter
250g brown butter
300ml cream (single cream)

Hi, you can add baking powder to all purpose flour, has the same effect.

Didn't work! 128 grams of flour, is that all? How is it supposed to rise with all those other ingredients. You can see on the video that the tiny amounts do not represent the actual amounts. Time wasters.
