@@SpreadAviation So the DA50 is a four seater, with two people in the back you only have a few inches between them, 10 inches at the most, maybe three kids will fit in back
@@SpreadAviation you're a nice guy... I don't think it should matter whether you're his #7 flight, #12, or #3. If you're tired, get the rest you needed and let someone else take the flight... other people's lives are at stake so no lousy excuse for him. I can't remember if I've seen your other videos in the past but I think you're a better person to be with on a flight. He said he's a CFI and still has the license for it and did it for 1.5 years. Still, I wouldn't want him to be my flight instructor, crap, I wouldn't want him near me if I am trying to learn how to fly. Anyway, new subscriber here...
It might be due to that T tail I think diamond is the only one has T tail besides jets if I’m not mistaken? Question does the DA 40 have the same problem?
Such a different video from others I've watched . One demonstrates hands off commercial turn that you seemed to have so much difficulty with . Wonder what the difference was?
As someone who’s done test flying for certification, the control forces were high. But this is not an airplane whose mission is maneuvering flight. It’s meant to cross country. This is also a very early serial number so potentially there’s been some development on the elevator but I haven’t done any research since then. Call Diamond and ask for a demo flight.
Ok ... i was like ... i wanna stop watching after 2 minutes and after i've heard "sweeeeet ... cool bro....sweeet....cool bro" for 1.000 times :-))))) come on guys ...
Yeah I’m really trying to figure out the mission for the airplane. It can’t really compete with an SR-20 on price. But it’s definitely an IFR machine. Boston to DC seems to be its sweet spot.
@SpreadAviation true .but the 182 has only 4 . Plus the 206 5th and 6th arnt very usable for 2 full size adults and the full payload is nowhere near that of the da 50. Even the cirrus full full payload pales in comparison to the da 50
Love the honest review. No hype, just real flying, and real opinions. Hopefully Diamond sees this.
If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to me.

@herbbates4713 yeah. Similar to how Cirrus has “3” seats in the back.
That's the sales guy? He seemed less than enthusiastic about the plane.
He was a good dude. We all have rough days. I think I was flight number 7 for him. Hard to keep the energy up.

Welcome to the show!
He seems like a cool guy to me. Laid back, but no b.s- which I appreciate, expecially from someone interested in selling me something.
@ant2011 exactly!

The 40 isn’t nearly as heavy.

The others used ALL of the trim. Control forces are very high on the elevator.
@SpreadAviation ahh ic so the truth is that it's not as easy as they make it seem. And not as hard as you make it out to be.

How long did you make it?
I hope the “super star” designation sticks
It was a good callsign
it looks beautiful but the visibility is horrible, the "canopy bow" is just so thick, but the windows on the sides are huge
hahaha, superstar!the most stylish single-engine airplane ever
Preach
Stylish? Uh….Not sure I’d call it stylish. Awesome plane tho. Like a single engine da62.
Exactly
Castrating?
Castoring
@@SpreadAviation that sounds more intelligent
Salesman: Here is plane. It's fine. It's ok. It works... I guess. Some cool stuff on it... kinda. That'll be $1.2 million please.
I cant get over how bad the range is. 750nm max range. But thats at 45% power and doesnt account for a real payload or climb. Pretty atrocious.

Why so slow? Can't be compared to the cirrus. Its more like a cessna skyhawk with a lot of make up.
I would say 182ish.
@SpreadAviation except with a 900lb full fuel payload seems like it compares better to the 206 .
@TheSlickpt but a 206 has 6 seats.

I hate how the guy from the right treats this, like DGF mode. Engine check performed not according to the checklist.
That may be my editing. Video was long enough without checklist minutia.
The most negative sales guy lol man give someone the job that would actually love it
We all have bad days. He was an awesome dude though. No shade for Cam.
