Words to gamble by! I had four trips to my local last month. Micromanaged the bankroll, played with $20's and really took advantage of each win, big or small. Left with $15, $121, $89 and $100 for a grand total of $304. There are zero low volatility old school slots in my casino so I was very happy with my results. Gamble Smart!

My wife has been doing this for years... win, cash out & put the winnings away. She says "that's money we're going home with, can't touch it". Very rarely do we end up walking out with less than 20% of what we came with, whether we put $500 or $5,000 through the machines. And sometimes we walk out with more, which is a definite plus!
Your wife is the bank. She’s a keeper just like me. I’m the bank. My husband plays and most of the time he loses most of his money.
When I win over $100, I cash out and set it aside and play from my small bankroll.
This last time around, only lost $200 of my $1600 bankroll over a 2-day stay.
We don’t stay more than two nights at a casino. Just enough play time for us at our local casinos in California.
Enjoyable and affordable, unlike Vegas these days.
And seeing how crowded our local casinos can get, a lot of people are doing the same.
Staying local is cheaper and still enjoyable and you can still get giveaway gifts, etc.

I plan the whole trip a few months in advance. I book my rooms(Apply comps later)plan the bankroll and budget for extras(I get gift cards from my bank for the extras. Then, you are not getting into your bankroll.I think about what I want to play. Gamble Boxes are a game changer. Thanks for also suggesting the timed safe for your bankroll. I think we will think about getting one of those.Thanks for all of the tips! They work!

My version of the lock box is a friend or my wife with the agreement to not give me back the winnings until we got home. I Been made fun of for it, but I probably brought more winnings home in the long run compared to them 😅

Just got crushed in Vegas over five days. This is more venting than anything. The frustrating thing is my buddy was killing it. We often played the same game so while I'm donating with every spin he's hitting jackpots left and right. The doubly frustrating thing is even on video poker, my fall back when things are going poorly and I just want to play something, I was getting a terrible RTP. Probably should have just shut it down after three days of terrible results. Going to AC next week for four days and my plan is if day one starts poorly I'm going to cut my daily budget in half and if day two doesn't improve shut it down all together for days 3 and 4. Gets old throwing money away.
I have learned so much from you guys! I have been doing slots for about six months and I have one at least 9 Hand pays, one $3600 jackpot and one $21,000 jackpot. I constantly review your videos and make sure that I follow the steps that you recommend. Not only have I profited enough to do some home improvements, but I have also booked two complementary resort stays and 3 night cruise for two people. I do use my players card, obviously, but not always. It depends on what my objective is. I don’t know why, but I have one virtually all of my hand pays and both jackpots without my players card. I have built up enough points for complementary food, resort visits and cruises by losing money, not by my winning visits. I know that’s not supposed to be a cause/effect, but it certainly has worked out that way for me without a doubt.

Great tips, your advice is helping me to be much more aware. I live within 10 miles of Cali's biggest Casino (plus 2 other smaller casinos nearby) so is tough to stay away. I now realize I DO win a lot especially when I play the older machines which are rapidly disappearing especially at Graton.

When i was 18 and my gambling started, my friend and i would drive to San Diego where the gambling age is/was 18.. i had a mini safe i took with me. About size of a brick. I told my friend who stayed home to set the code. I won enough to put 2 $100 bills in it. I slid it through the gap. I added a 3rd and by the following day i pryed it open.

Reminded me of my previous Reno trip. Had a plan and stuck with it. Had $300 for poker, $100 for video poker, and about $75 for some slots. Crushed it at the poker room, had a decent run in video poker, and lost on most slots - except Pinball, where I had a nice quick bonus win. Whether or not you think you need a lock box, one thing is for sure - have a PLAN! Good stuff Marc. Best of luck at WinStar! 👍

I’d recommend betting low to high. By that I mean, depending on how long you intend to play, bet below your usual bet initially. Sure if you win the win won’t be as big but if, as is often the case, you lose you can pace accordingly and either stick to low rolling or limit your bigger bets.
On the odd occasion you may get a decent hit with your lower bet and parlay that up to a bigger bet and win knowing that at least this way, you are limiting your exposure.
Obviously this is easier said than done but I like entertainment and I find this method the best way of maximising this whilst still having a shot at a good win.
In addition to GSGS timer safe, I have winners box. May not comeback up on the trip but always comeback with some $$

Marc/Dave…question for you..I’m hoping you can help. My local casino in Canada has been shutting down multiple slot machines at a time…the piece of paper located on the screens all basically say the same lingo…”RAM CLEARED”…I asked if they were being removed…NO, apparently they were been “checked to make sure they were working correctly”. Does this sound right to you? They are older video slots…none of them have been 3 reel oldies but goodie slots. Does this perhaps have anything to do with RTP settings? Thank you in advance.
It’s possible they were adjusting payback % settings, but there are also a lot of other reasons for this. Sometimes the machines need a ram clear every few years - they are computers and sometimes they need to be wiped clean. It’s not very common, I’d have to know more about the situation to know for sure. :)
@@GambleSmart Thank you guys…very much appreciated, as of lately it’s been on the older Wonder 4 cabinet..with Whales of cash and 3 other games, Noah’s Ark, DaVinci diamonds, Wolf run, thunder cash, mustang money and a few others I don’t play but noticed they were tagged out as well. Most often they are all machines tagged out in the same row at a time.
My local Casino finally added a new cabinet of Ainsworth that has 5 different games to choose from, and can choose $1.00 denon at 5 lines, previously old 10 lines at 25 cents. My question is what is the least volatile or the best must hit buy to play? Mustang Money 2, Dollar Streak, Grand Dragon, Eagle Bucks and of course Thunder Cash .,

Mustang Money is the least volatile, eagle bucks is the most. Play whatever lines you are most comfortable with. There is no real advantage. I personally stick with 5 lines since it keeps the bet low.

The odds are over the long term. If what you described was accurate, nobody would ever leave a winner.
Odds are always the odds. You could be $50 up and you still have to cover the cost of this lockbox. Throw away the gadgets and gimmicks

Great timing for your video Marc. I won $110 Canadian Dollars playing the original Aristocrat old school Buffalo Slot Machine on a 40 Cent bet on the penny denomination at the Toronto's Casino Resort for just a few minutes after triggering over 10 free games and I started with a bankroll of 50 Dollars. I knew bringing my gamble cash lock box would come in handy for rare big wins like this and I put all of my winnings quickly in there then I left the casino with a big smile on my face. I came home and I used the key to unlock the box and it feels really good seeing the cash that I can now use for groceries, tech products etc. Thanks again Marc for your informative videos helping us fellow gamblers. 🙂👍
Its nice they have those lock boxes for those who need them. Am blessed after many, many years can hang on to my good line hits and mini jackpots.
