Thanks so much for this video! I'm Asian trans and it's so hard to find people that look slightly similar to me. People say "look at your parents for an example" but I'm adopted, so I'm SOL. Glad to see your transition is going well!
Hello there ! Same here, I am so happy when I discover other trans Asians for the same reasons. Nice seeing your comment. And best wishes to both of you !
The pitch/depth thing actually makes sense. What sets male and female voices apart isn't pitch, it's something called timbre (pronounced tam-ber), which are the over-tones and under-tones that let you hear the difference between two identical notes played on a trumpet vs a violin, for example. Men tend to have a much deeper timbre than women, even when the pitch is the same. Your voice definitely has a masculine timbre now. Congrats man.
Thank you for sharing! I don't see much of Asian trans masc ppl like me out here. And I'm also around 4 months on T so it feels like I'm transitioning along with you lol. It feels less alone. I'll be looking forward to your updates.
I support you! You know why? I am also Transgender FTM, I came out on April 1st 2020. And your voice sounds amazing. My mom and dad won't let me start T yet. Bc well they keep saying "It's just a steroid." "We don't want to doing steroids." I always say back "So you want me to sound like a female for the rest of my life?! Bc I don't want to!!". I just turned 18 on February 18th.
