Man I'm so jealous of the availability of BT, Taylor, and Blantons! I live in Huntsville and it is always sold out! Fun video man thanks for the content! I haven't been able to buy a Taylor or a blantons yet but I'm still on the hunt!
Memphis! I like the idea of cocktail ingredients in a plastic pitcher. I’ve seen smaller versions at gas stations! That could be great to grab on the way to a tailgate party or something.
The TV is pretty old and is basically a monitor. I would like to get a bigger TV and have a mount, but that costs money, and I am going to have to wait until I can save up some money.
I hear you on the spending freeze with a Disney trip looming; we’re heading down for Christmas. Luckily I just snagged my first and second ever bottles of Stagg (24B) on Friday (MSRP for both), so I’m pretty content until the major holiday drops. Missed Weller SiB (at MSRP) by two people.
MSRP is one of the major benefits of being State controlled. Yeah, I’ve heard great things about going during Christmas. We’ve gone during Halloween when my daughter was younger, it was fantastic.
Just a simple question before the video premiers. Do you think that most of the stores received good allocations prior to November 1st? Or from what you witnessed, and from your conversations were like, are there better allocations on the way from your local distributors for these stores? BTW great content!
Good questions, yes there is more to come. This should be a great allocation season, at least in our area. There should be a second Weller drop and there should be btac one around Thanksgiving
@@MajorXero Excellent. Well worth the price tag in my opinion. Haven't had the chance to try the Founder's Reserve Estate Collection, but I can't imagine 11 year MGP is anything other than great!
You have to try the New Riff Single Barrel and 8year. If you like rye. The Malted Rye is amazing. Yellowstone you gotta grab the toasted. Went to the distillery and I budgeted myself out of the distillery cause I wanted the toasted. But thought better of it since it is available at home.
@ New Riff is super good for their prices. But the availability of the bigger stuff is super difficult around me. I don’t care for finishes. But Yellowstone Toasted and Rum Cask are absolutely amazing.
Major! Hey you mentioned New Riff in the beginning. I am on my second bottle of their single barrel and would highly recommend it based on those two, especially for the price. I wouldn't be surprised to see it beat stuff 2-3 times it's price in a blind. Check it out. Cheers
Just bought a Stagg for a raffle. More than I'd like to pay. $120 after tax, but it's not terrible. The rye finished homey was not my jam. The rye spice and honey combo made for an off-putting mix.
I sure do like to hear you say gross EVERY TIME you see Willit potstill. That's the dumbest shit I every heard on a bourbon video. You should keep your hating to yourself.
1st store Whiskey Business: I wish we got WR DO barrel picks in my area! I haven't seen the WT 70th, they got hoovered up by the flippers. Supposedly more is coming to my area. One of the grocery chains in my area is working on getting Green River barrel picks, fingers crossed! If we got the Benchmark product line in my area, I doubt I would buy or drink anything else from Buffalo Trace! New Riff bourbon and rye barrel picks have been shaking up our area whiskey groups! Look at all those overpriced and overhyped tater bottles behind the counter! In their defense though, they seem to do plenty of outside the box barrel picks. 2nd store Covington Liquor: I saw Belle Meade bourbon? 3rd store Discount Liquor & Wine: Oooo, more Belle Meade! ECBP B524 is a great batch! I had to get a backup! Those Uncle Nearest Single Barrels are the truth! They're expensive and hard to find in my area, but I'll be damned if that hasn't been some of the tastiest whiskey I've ever had! And that's a bold statement! The home bar is looking great! 4th store Spirits of Atoka: OF 100 proof, the sleeper bottle! Give me those Early Times Bonded off that whiskey table! Another WR DO barrel pick? Man y'all are spoiled down there! 5th store South End Liquor: Another WR DO barrel pick? Does anybody drink anything down there? It's all over the place! OF 1910 and 100 proof, can't go wrong! Ooo, Cooper's Craft 100 proof! Another sleeper bottle! Early Times Bonded! That was an interesting looking Maker's Mark barrel pick bottle! Looked like the Heart Release. I don't usually buy wheated bourbon though. I'm sorry you weren't feeling well, no bueno! Just get back to the videos at your own pace. Thanks for sharing!
Missed the Stagg (Jr.) on the table at 24:50 upper right corner of the table. Good store visits!
You guys, with your eagle eyes!
@@MajorXero I'm betting you took that one home with you. No?
@scottm.5788 shhhhhhhh
Hey Major good to see you out hunting .... Do you ever see any ET Black Cap out there ?? Thanks
Sadly no
Awesome video as always! 🍻
Thanks brother

Agreed, especially with holiday party season starting
I enjoyed the winter reserve, decent little $23 bottle, if you want me to bring some next time let me know!
For sure!
Totally whiffed on a bottle of Stagg at the 25:12 mark
shhhhhhhhhhhhhh
@ oops. I'll delete the comment!
@JM-0712 😀🤣
New camera is amazing!
Thank you!
Jim Beam Winter Reserve is fantastic drinking it at this moment
Awesomeness
I second that, it has become my go to bottle since it hit the shelves.
Should look into wall mounting the tv with a pull out mount. Then managing the cables better. Could give you more counter space too
The TV is pretty old and is basically a monitor. I would like to get a bigger TV and have a mount, but that costs money, and I am going to have to wait until I can save up some money.
Why do you call it birthday blend knock off? The OF100?
I did a video about it、but it is supposedly the same juice
Missed that stagg on the table with all the OGD16
Old Grand Dad has that effect on me
How much for that Whispers Reserve next to the 1792
Which store,
New to the channel. What county are you in for this video?
Welcome and Tipton!

Msrp is always best! We went to Disneyland for Christmas a couple of years ago and it was amazing

Bruh, the Wat 70th at 49.99 is a buy all day
Do you have a bottle?
Great hunt video as always Major! The perfect video to watch while trying my new Penelope Single Barrel Estate Collection. Cheers!
How is that Penelope,

Thank you sir, some day I will be as cool as you
Looking sharp!
Those prices for allocated bottles is ridiculous.
Where are you located
@@MajorXero ohio

@jeremydibiase8030 ah the land of Weller
@MajorXero yeah unless it's full proof Weller I'll pass
Bee's Knees III is so good! I have the Tennessee barrel one and the Georgia barrel versions. Prefer the GA one.
New Riff 8 Year is solid
I have not had much new riff, but I hear good things
Don’t sleep on that Larceny for $23. Not a bad little bottle
I will check out
Boy howdy! Here we go!
New Riff 8 year bourbon is really good. I also have a NR Single Barrel bourbon store pick that’s tasty. Haven’t tried the ryes or their heavy malted…
Should have picked up that Jack Daniel’s twice barreled rye distillery release.
Yeah I am on a bit of a spending freeze
Will you slow down just a little so the camera can focus, thanks
Thanks!! I will, new camera and learning the ropes

what did you buy window shopper?

I have only had a couple of pours, I need to explore more
The nostalgic store would be my first choice.
Yeah, I think about my dad every time I drive by
Question, is $110 fair for Jack Daniels 10 year?
Is that tax included?
I'm looking for the JB Winter Reserve. I've heard a lot of good about it. I just scored 2 Eagle Rare and a JD Winter Jack.
Nice! I plan to drink a lot of the winter jack this fall/winter. You get that jb reserve let me know
Just bought a Stagg for a raffle. More than I'd like to pay. $120 after tax, but it's not terrible. The rye finished homey was not my jam. The rye spice and honey combo made for an off-putting mix.
Most people have said they liked the rye better than the bourbon. I liked them both. No mint in the rye
During your next hunt, pick up a RR10 if you see the laser code, on the bottom back of the bottle, of it says LL/ME. You with thank Jimmy Russell!
I will!
Could you pick me up all for the Tennessee tasters
That is a big order
Does anyone make a Jalapeño vodka? Been looking for one for Bloody Mary’s.
What about a jalapeño bourbon?
I love the triple oak
Glad I am not alone
@MajorXero nope. Itching for alabama to get it in the stores. It's now listed on the app but at $75
That is higher than here which is unusual
Might want to hit an AA meeting along the way
I am a member of Triple A

Lakeland has a Russel’s store pick. In case you didn’t know. 😉
Have you tried it yet!
@@MajorXero No. just saw they posted it on FB. 😉
Same!
Is that a 14 yr lucky seven? Is that cask strength
Is that a must get?
@ I think is only 100 proof. For that price I’d say yes
@jasellsrealtygroup_boston Thanks for the heads up
Hard watch with that camera. There is a lot of blurring as you pan.
It is a new camera and I am working on it. Try watching in 4k. Thanks for the feedback
Need a better microphone mount Major..
That is my next purchase
I thought it was fine but I'm not a sound expert 😅
