I just installed this on my 2019 WRX and your video was great thanks. Doing the Perrin brass shifter bushing. On my car 1st and 2nd feels tighter. Only issue iam having is when I'm in four hear it's making a rattle. Only in 4th gear though. And it was making that noise before.i just the Perrin shifter stop. I did also notice that your shifter stop has Perrin wrote the opposite direction that mine does

I think you may have knocked the Perrin (left side) shifter stop out of position at 6:26 during the tightening process. Great video!
I had to go back one more time after my final install and adjust it again. Haven't had any issues with it since. Definitely a worth while upgrade.

Not sure if there is a torque spec for it, but just until its snug. You don't want to over tighten it because it's plastic. Just keep all the tools you used in your car the first week after install. I tightened everything took it for a drive and a week later I was on the highway and couldnt get into 6th gear. The oem shifter stop had moved just slightly so I had to adjust it.

I'm going to need to get this.. it feels like u need to find the slot to shift into 1st , rather than it being as simple as, left and up

How tight did you do the 7mm nuts after adding the washer?
As anyone found a billet reverse lockout replacement for the sti short throw that she has in the video?
I have a stock reverse lockout, but I know billetworkz makes them. Check with them if it works with the sti short throw before you pick one up though. billetworkz.com/collections/reverse-lockouts-adaptors
Installing this weekend. Hoping this fixes the shifting issues in my 2019. Do you have the factory short throw shifter? Thanks for the video and tips.
I have the standard shifter in my wrx. If you have the short throw make sure you double check the shift stop you got. Pretty sure they are different. It definitely helps. Keep the tools in your car the first week in case you have to adjust.

@@bellabc nope, ordered another set of washers should be here today. I’m gonna have my wife do it cause my hands are too big lol I shouldn’t have tried that
@@pumpniron1 put some microfiber cloths around it so if it falls it doesn't fall passed the microfiber. Honestly it's probably worth it just to pop the center console off entirely
