    I have a 2019 ASUS ZenBook S15 and it's been solid as a rock, so I wouldn't hesitate to pick up one of these if I was in the market. It's kind of refreshing to say I don't need the new one because the old one still works so well.

    I am using Asus Zenbook UX3404VA. I purchased the laptop in September 2023 and in May 2024, the screen went into multiple blue blotches about 3/4 of the screen. As it was under warranty, the screen was fully replaced with pick up and delivery to my residence included. The repair work was completed in less than a week. I am unsure if any other users faces the same issue with OLED screen or if this is prone to certain specific brands.
    Although fully replaced, I now become hesitant and worry if the screen will act up in the near future.
    The laptop was used only occasionally for general websurfing and emails.
    The only assurances is that this Asus laptop is still under 2 years full premium warranty.
    Have anyone else encounter similar issues?

    the base model cost $1400 yike. I mean it is good to make thinner laptops but not at the expense of cost, battery and performance. It can be 50% thicker and the battery last as long as MacBooks I would say it is great or if the price is $200 less. No one has that kind of money for a spare (not primary) laptop. What a pity Asus went back to Intel. 😭
    The Ryzen 7 6800U in last year’s model was far and away the best CPU in its class but sadly unobtanium and available in very few laptops. The identical part is back in AMD’s 2023 line up as the Ryzen 7 7736U and it would have been a much better performer than the Intel processor here. The AMD part can switch between 15W and 28W (not 20W max like the Intel), it’s way more efficient, runs cooler and the integrated graphics are soooo much more powerful. Shame but this is still a lovely premium laptop though. When all’s said and done, few users will miss the extra power and efficiency of the AMD in real life use (other than battery life).

    The only criticism I have for this great laptop for an average home user is that its screen is not an anti-glare one. Nonetheless, it's in my shopping cart and I may proceed to checkout... Tempting. Very much so. Oh, and the creator of the channel said nothing about its speakers...

    I have been looking for a laptop with a nice and big OLED screen and nice sound. The Zenbooks look like they have niece screens but they are all so small and narrow. The Dell xps 17 has the right size screen and nice sound but is not OLED. It is also irritating after every review to hear the Macbook air or Macbook pro is better in every way FYI.

    As owner of last year's Zenbook S 13 with Ryzen 6800U, I am disapointed with new one. Touch screen gone (also means no pen support), Numpad gone, Fingerprint sensor gone, AMD gone. I'm glad I was fast because in the Czech republic it was available from 30.10.22 to 18.12.22 and then it just disappeared. I guess the main reason for it was AMD chip and that will be reason for the Intel version this year. Because I can't name one more reason why it should be Intel.

      I bought the 6600U one last December, and I love it... The only problem for me is the battery life, it only lasts for about 3 hrs on continual watching...

    • @latziscience
      @latziscience ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@prestonplayz5446 Turn on Asus balanced mode if you don't have it already. Also watching content with lower brightnes is ok because with OLED display you have better contrast ratio so it doesn't have to be very high. When i don't use it I just turn it off or if I know I'll be using it soon I use Hibernation mode instead of Sleeping mode. It doesn't turn on that fast but it improves battery-life.
      If it won't help there could be something wrong with laptop because I have also 2-3 hours but not watch time. I can play that time Assassin's Creed Valhalla with no power input. And my work day is totally fine and I have even set the maximum limit of battery set to 80%.
