Nice video! You mentioned using Lightroom and DaVinci Resolve which is great. There are comments on Reddit that the physical keyboard plays a lot on the table as there are no rubber feet. Also that pin connectors scratch the desk surface a lot. Also that the lower screen is much brighter and colour profiles don't match. Please comment. I would really live this to work properly.
The keyboard when separate do have feet but only at the bottom end. In terms of play I didn’t find it moving around too much when I had my weight on it. But I can see what some people may not like. If you purposefully push it around, it will move. In terms of the scratching, from what I can tell it’s not the pins, but the bottom feet I had mentioned earlier that are in contact with the surface. These are plastic instead of rubber so that’s the scratching sound they hear. I do wish these were rubber as well, but it’s not something that bothered me personally. I didn’t even realize until I read this haha. As for the screens, this was not my experience. Both screens look the same to me. I do however have the 2k / FHD version here in Canada. Maybe this is a 3k screen issue ? Not sure but this isn’t the case for me.
Thanks for the detailed reply! You do care for your viewers and you deserve following! I got the 3K version in the meantime. The thing about screen brightness is a bug. After a while the upper screen does become more dimmed. But going to settings and adjusting brightness simultaneously for both screens, they match immediately. About the keyboard, it's thin and plastic. I guess to keep it light. Mine looks slightly bent. Magnets are strong. On the upper side the magnet is in the center. Lifting it at the corners the keyboard bents slightly. It would have been better if they put two magnets in corners as at the bottom side. But this doesn't affect usability. Pins do protrude just a fraction over the plastic. But I got the pad in the box. So no chance to scratch and it doesn't play. All in all a great product which can be improved in details. I love it! I didn't get the backpack, as the unboxing videos show.
@@zeljkovedris8360 I got the top spec as well. I saw the comments - and a convincing photo - on Reddit about the keyboard's pogo pins scratching a table, and other comments about it sliding around while in use. To avoid the possibility of both, I cut an old Yoga mat the exact dimensions of the keyboard. Whenever I work with the keyboard off the unit I put the mat under it so whatever surface it's on is protected. Also, and perhaps more importantly, the underside of the keyboard is well protected. In addition to 2-way protection, the mat is a really nice touch because it gives the keyboard more of a solid-base like feel, even though it - the mat - is thin. The stability of the keyboard not moving its place while working also lends to the solid-base feel. I cut the mat precisely so it's barely detectable underneath it. It's also super easy to pack the mat to take with. I highly recommend it! I do see the screen brightness difference, but only if I turn the brightness all the way down. I saw a few comments by users who are really bothered by it. It's not a issue for me. I use Dark Reader for 99% of my web SAAS work, which I use for basically all my work, and dark settings every where else. My eyes don't tolerate white screens (plus they get on my nerves aesthetically). In fact I keep my brightness at 100% all the time. One of the joys of these beautiful oled screens is their visual richness, which IMHO is best taken in at full brightness.

Would you think the Core Ultra 7 model is enough for a few years' use? It's the one I'm considering because the base model also has the lesser-resolution display which they say should make it more energy efficient for the battery.
Yeah I haven’t had issues with it tbh. Unless you’re doing some heavy workloads then maybe in a couple years you’ll start to notice. But the ultra 7 seems super capable.
You should get the top spec. I have one, and believe me the performance and screen quality are worth any adjustments you find you need to make to increase battery use.
