Mmmmm!! I have some Mince and Pasty defrosting I am going to make a Pie similar to yours using that. Thank You for the inspiration 🏴🏴🏴❤️
I will try this, but as we are just two I will make individual pies as I have some lovely small earthenware pie dishes. Thank you for sharing (from 🇫🇷).
Cheryl, I had a molar extracted yesterday. Consequently I'm starving. Your vid has tipped me over the edge.....Looks fantastic. I feel a slow cooker job coming on....
Oh that pie looks so nice it reminds a bit of the pies my friends mum used to make on a Saturday I always stayed for the at my friend's house for t .my friend mum used tomash mince into potatoes and put it in a pie and serve with veg and gravy .oh I'm going back 50 years . Mum used to make amazing mincebeef pies love fran xxxx
I think a sweet potato with pork or chicken or turkey done like this would be delicious. Fermented cranberry sauce or cherry salsa on the side, yum, yum! Thank you Cheryl for another great dish.
Discovered your channel just today. It's so good,I leaved in the uk for a long long time, and i missed so much anglosaxon food!!! I'm going to impress my guest very soon, here in Genoa! Thank you
Oh the lattice looked like from a shop it was so beautiful. Your nails are such a great colour and looked rather festive. I usually take an easy road with one piece covering the top. Going to surprise my gang with your inspiration, thank you!
Hello from New York City! I do love your channel and I am now a patron. One thing I've noticed is that with cubed meat, you never dry it. I cube beef, then put the cubes on either paper or cloth towels and then cover it, and press gently. The meat caramelizes when you sauté it and seals in the juices, even if you are flouring them. It is a wee step, but make a difference! Have a lovely week, look forward to your next episode.
This reminds me of my Grandmother's tarte d'aujord'hui . Whatever she had that day went into the pie. Always plenty of onions and garlic, sometimes rabbit, pigeon or pork, sometimes not. Beautifully presented and baked with care and all ways deliciuos. Best wishes from the French Alps. Beginning to get cold here. I think I shall bake such a pie for my grandchildren when they visit on this weekend. I enjoy your channel very much.
@@lisamoore6804 Well, now it is Autumn and already beginning to get cold. But, I have much wood for the fires and the cooking range. Sometimes, I travel to the city and I can smell it from an hour away. Up here, the air is clean. Living on the Alps is very good, but it can be cold in the winter.
What's Not to Like???? Your instructions are so clear and helpful Cheryl, thank you. I had a quick look at this this afternoon, and am finally watching the whole recipe. Delicious! And looking Gorgeous too.
Lovely that you celebrate British cookiing... Origins based uoon being hearty yet simple food food for winters which search into your energy levels..or hard physical work.Thank you. I like a couple of bay leaves to add an interesting background flavour . Thank you. !!!
This looks so good! I have a dear, dear friend who lives in Wells, England - she's an excellent cook and baker (so she tells me, lol!). I'm American, I have some mobility issues but I sent her your video and asked if I could make this using a pre-packaged deep dish pie crust and how to prep it for a wet content and also what temp to bake it at and for how long. We don't have 'mushy peas' here so I'll have to fake it. Your meat and potato pie is just beautiful and the work to prep it isn't beyond my ability so I'm looking forward to trying it. Love your channel. And just as a side note - you're lovely!
Oh. My. Word. Now craving that. A new recipe from you is like catching up with a pal, Cheryl! But only 5 ‘like I saids’…?! I’m going to make individual versions of these. Looks stunning. 🤛🏻
@@lindaj5492 I'm on my own so portion control/freezing is the way to go. Sometimes I'll halve a Cheryl recipe and have it two night running! Who says blokes can't look after themselves, eh?
