Today I start the modification project on my new pelican bass raider 10e
I found this boat online and bought it used to do some single or two person fishing
in the lakes near my home , most of which do not allow gas motors for travel
Join me as I show you the first Mod I'll be doing to this boat -
installing a carpet flooring step by step process with material list below

Looks good . I like my 10 E Bass Raider I have a Mercury 3.3 gas Engine on the back and a 24 lb. Trolling Motor on the Front . And I`m a big guy at 300 lb and this boat is very stable .

Hey man great idea. I’m gonna have to use this on my boat. I have a bass hunter solo boat. It measures only 6 ft . It’s made for 1 person. I’m trying to modify it without unnecessary weight. Can wait to see your other ideas👍🏼

I have one of the tan/green 10e’s, that grey looks sharp! I saw that you took the top off of your battery center while it was charging. I had the same question with mine and Minn Kota said it was ok to leave it on and clamp to the box terminals on the top. Much easier. Nice rig!
thanks for sharing that info man , I wasn't sure if the built in breaker would throw it or not while trickle charging
Just got ours, how does this feel walking on it can you feel the ribs ?? How are your feet compared to standing on the ribs ?? You have some very good videos on this little boat!!
you can fill them a tab bit but im 365 lbs and i walk on mine fine and stand up to work top water lures , does great for me

sorry just saw this message - I would go online and lookup Pelican and call customer support and see if they sell the trim guard through them just because they will have it exactly trimmed for your boat
but if you want to try a modification see these links for what a friend of mine used and seems to work ok
( note this is a link to the product , but not the actual one he bought )
you will need to take a piece of the one that came off your boat and measure it to find the correct sizes

I really enjoy my bass raider
I'm a big guy and have some issues on kayaks but this works very well as a single person vessel, I am in the process of rigging mine for catfishing and big game
@@FishingWithBIGD That’s awesome. My brother owns a hunting and fishing store and his main income is selling live bait as in gizzard shad. He goes out multiple times a a day to catch it. They fish catfish tournaments all the time. I love fishing too but don’t really like fishing in the tournament. If you go back in my buddy on this channel to Oct, you will see a tournament that zi videoed for him. I’ll be doing that again this October. Pretty fun stuff.

I think the floor wall to wall is about 40 inches ... that's a rough estimate
How does this hold up going 75mph on a trailer?
IVE ONLY DRIVEN BACK ROADS , SO 45 MPH AND IT DOES FINE , BUT I ALWAYS GEAR 9 BATTERY POLES AND TACKLE IN IT ALSO TO WEIGH IT DOWN

Great idea using the rugs in the bottom of the new boat! I've heard those Pelicans are really stabile in the water. Another nice video Big-D.
