Domination is great, and all these guys are going to want to see the live Moscow performance.... but, in my opinion, the studio version of almost all Metal songs are superior. The studio version of the breakdown at the end of Domination blows the Moscow show out of the water.
@@captzero007 - I have to agree with you regarding the breakdown of Domination. Since Dime was the only guitarist in the band they would layer up guitar tracks and make use of Left and Right Stereo channels. In Domination the guitar pans from the Left and Right channels and you can really hear it when using headphones.
@@captzero007 totally agree. Sometimes you have to listen the album versions to get the gravity of the situation. And that breakdown is such an important part of the song.
The Pantera rabbit hole in deep, my dude. I saw them twice in the early 90s and I feel fucking privileged to have seen them in all their glory. RIP to the Abbott Brothers. You both live on in our hearts!
You don't have to pick between Pantera or Metallica they are two different sounds and play two different rhythms so they are both good in their own way even though they fall in the same genre
@johnnywrath6969 biggest band In the big 4. First 3 maybe 4 (ajfa has thrash In it too) are thrash. Just because their vocals are better and guitar harmonies kick ass don't make them not thrash lol.
Take it from lifelong Pantera fan, the next song you have to hear is Cemetery Gates, it's off the same album. The evolution of their music after this album is amazing.
I third this. If I can only recommend three songs to get someone hooked on Pantera, it’s Walk, Cowboys and Cemetery Gates. Sure there’s more “Pantera-ey” songs like Domination, 5 Minutes Alone and Fucking Hostile, but they’re a bit more advanced. The goal is to get them obsessed.
Pantera's Domination live at Moscow & Primal Concrete Sledge same concert, 5 Minutes Alone, Psycho Holiday, Good Friends and a Bottle of Pills, or Cemetery Gates just to name a few greats by them.
DOMINATION Live in MOSCOW 1991 is a must brother. Its off the charts fantastic and when the drop come in at the end... I've seen 65 year old men banging their heads to that beat....

Ha!! Greatness. I knew you were gonna love it. I grew up in Dallas, TX and we were just old enough to be going to the clubs around the time Pantera started playing locally. We later used to hang out in the bar where this video was filmed, The Basement. Legendary stuff went on there at the hands of Pantera and their followers and we loved every minute of it!! I can't bear to think of how it all ended. So instead I will remember how great it all was, and how Darrell and Vinnie will always live on through the music. I saw the resurrection of Pantera over the summer with Metallica at Cowboys Stadium, and it was so major and so surreal and emotional, all at the same time. LONG LIVE PANTERA 🤘🏼
Nice!!! Another classic Pantera song. Awesome seeing how much you enjoy most of the new songs you check out. Gotta check out *5 Minutes Alone*and *Cemetery Gates* by Pantera oh yea *Goddamn Electric* is another great one by them.

This album was so defining and great that Pantera actually consider this to be their first "real" album despite having released four albums before this one. This was the first album to feature the "Pantera sound" which defined an entire subgenre of metal.
