@@allenruss2976 I saw DAC at Billy Bob's a long time ago. Two Pantera members were at a table near the front. Vinnie went up and played drums for a couple songs.

Pantera has an album called "Vulgar Display of Power." The name comes from the Exorcist quote "Father Damien Karras: If you're the Devil, why don't you make the straps disappear? Regan MacNeil (possessed girl): That's much too vulgar a display of power, Karras."
Hahaha, loved that Pantera song mash up you did at the begining🤘😆 One thing about Pantera is the guitars are so clean sounding...I dunno if that makes sence, but it does in my head soo.....🤷♂ I also heard they owned a strip club in Dallas. Dimebag Darrel's brother died too, Vinnie Paul (drummer) of health issues a few yrs ago. RIP to both🙏. Great reaction P!! 40!
I saw Pantera live in 1994 (can't believe it's been 30 years already!)- right up at the front, stood in front of Dimebag. It was a crazy concert! If you jumped in the air, sometimes your feet wouldn't land back on the ground from the sheer mass of the crowd going crazy. At one point I saw a nice watch laying on the floor, and I thought if that's not destroyed, I'll check it out at the end of the gig. Well I forgot all about that watch, but a few hours later I noticed my wrist was bare; I'd been moshing on my own time piece! :)
that sounds like all the stories i know from the old mosh music pit days.. and many of the reasons i never wanted to go into the pit! hahah i wore glasses, i knew they wouldnt make it the whole show. awesome story thanks for sharing!
March 22 1995 I saw these dudes at the Colorado Springs City Auditorium with Type O Negative! This is still to this day one of my top 3 concerts that I have been to! Check out Type O when you get a chance! Peace and RIP Dime! 🤘
BP if you check out more Pantera check out Medicine Man, Revolution is My Name, and This Love, Both Dime and Vinny passed away now, the Abbot brothers are rocking out in that mosh pit in the sky. Vinny passed away a few years later. Hellyeah is also an amazing band to check out, it's Vinny's supergroup he was in. They did an awesome tribute to Dime using some unused riffs he recorded prior to dying
It's ridiculous how often I'm the 420th person to like a video. I always love the reaction to Phil's deep-as-f speaking voice mixed in there directly after some insanely high scream.
You could end up feeling "Hollow". You'll be saying "I'm broken" if you survive "5 minutes alone". And even if you leave "cowboys" behind you, you still might "by demons be driven", if you aren't "slaughtered" from "shedding skin". Heck, you could get "sandblasted skin" from the "floods", and then they'll have to "drag the water".😂😂😂 if you survive, you may reach "a new level".
Great band that found it's footing. They were decent originally as a hair band but great when they moved to a harder sound. Plenty of hits to choose from. If you want the country version of Pantera check out Rebel meets Rebel. This was a project with one of the og outlaw country singers David Allan Coe singing and Dimebag Darryl, Vinnie Paul and Rex Brown backing him. In other words country Pantera
I've never heard of that spinoff from them but it sounds interesting. Phil had quite a few bands he's done now and there were a few with the Pauls.. Damage plan was a name i remember.

You must check out I’m broken , 5 minutes alone, mouth for war , regular people, drag the waters , art of shredding and etc can’t go wrong with pantera
This is my favorite Pantera song. I remember the entire stadium going nuts when they started playing this live at their concert that I went to in 1995. Man, it was a rowdy night for sure.
I did a shot with Dime once at his "Clubhouse" in Dallas... He was GENUINELY out to make sure everyone was having a good time... Full on rock god, and asking me how my day was... and it wasn't just pandering.. He was a sincerely nice guy... R.I.P. to the Legend.
I can't wait to see what other songs you check out from Pantera. Some of mine are, 5 minutes alone, cemetery gates, this love, mouth of war, domination. And their cover of cat scratch fever by Ted nugent Always get excited to hear your take on some of my favorite songs
I am so psyched you have discovered “Cowboys from Hell”. This is one of my faves of Pantera and in my workout playlist especially when doing deadlifts!! You should listen to the Art of Shredding or Mouth for War next time - they are insane!!
First concert I went to was Pantera were headliners, White Zombie and the Deftones were the openers. Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. 1998. Still one of my top 3 concerts.
You are right. Dimebag is the one with the curly huge amount of long hair playing the lead guitar that you love so much. They were in the beginning of heavy metal.
you literally made me cry at the end when you lamented about seeing them irl. They were my first concert and I saw them 3 times over the years. recordings dont do anything like what being there was like and it hurts me to my core that this generation will miss out on some of the best sound ever to make its way to the universe
Vinny Paul was the drummer and he has passed away as well. Pantera is having a reunion tour it started last year and Dime Bag's best friend Zakk Wylde is replacing Dime and Charlie Benante is replacing Vinny on drums. A lot of Pantera fans aren't happy about it but I think they're doing an amazing job 🤘
Dime is the guitar player his brother, Vinnie Paul is the drummer. check out the KISS FACES on Dimes guitar he grew up a big KISS fan. He is buried in a KISS Coffin donated by Gene Simmons, and he's got Eddie Van Halen's black and yellow guitar with him for all eternity, along with a bunch of bourbon.
I understand everyone's focus on Dime's death because it was so tragic and downright senseless, but I have a funny story to share about the band. Back in '89 when Pantera was touring small clubs to promote this album, some friends and I got to hang out with them on their tour bus after the show. We're sitting at the table with Phil (vocalist) playing cards and as Dime reaches up into the kitchen cabinet for a cup, Rex (bassist) runs out of the back room with a big black sharpie in his hand, pulls down Dime's sweatpants and writes Aerosmith on his ass. Freakin' hilarious! That's how I choose to remember him. 💙
Yo! I was at your show with R.A. and Potluck! That's the day I started rocking with ya! That show was ill until everyone left after Potluck for some stupid reason. When RA went on there was me, my buddy, and about 10 other people. He still rocked that shit for us!
if it's up your alley, nickelback's Side of a Bullet is actually about the night that dimebag darrel got shot and killed, and in one of their live performances on youtube, they mention that the riffs/solo they used in the song is from outtakes from pantera themselves
I got my fastest speeding ticket in Nashville once jamming out to Pantera. I even had a Pantera sticker on the car at the time lol. What really sucked was I was a mile from my exit.
This album introduced me to Pantera when I was 10 years old. My mind was absolutely blown away. I still listen to this album on a regular basis. Its right up there with Metallicas black album, GN'R Appetite for Destruction and Sepulturas Roots!
RIP St. Vin & Dime. Dime (guitarist) was murdered on stage at the Alrosa Villa Dec 8th 2004. Vinnie Paul (the drummer and Dime's actual brother) died in 2018 at 54 of a heart condition. So damn sad!
i saw Pantera , when they first came to UK tour of cowboys from hell album in London , the best gig i been to , the sound was amazing , it was mental , a wall of speakers i mean a wall of speakers , cried when dime died and his bro the drummer these was pure metal
RIP to the greatest brother duo in metal history

I knew there was Something special about you!!!
Ya gotta do I'm Broken. The energy is amazing. This is the greatest groove metal band in history IMO. RIP Dimebag and Vinnie.
Hell yeah, Pantera. 🤘🏼🔥.... Hard to believe they were once a hlam band. One of the best intros for a song.
I am so psyched you have discovered “Cowboys from Hell”. This is one of my faves of Pantera and in my workout playlist especially when doing deadlifts!! You should listen to the Art of Shredding or Mouth for War next time - they are insane!!
A new level, I'm broken, 5 minutes alone, this love, hallowed, primal concrete sledge...the list goes on really. They don't have a bad song.
RIP to the Abott Brothers Dime Bag-the guitar and Vinnie-the drummer) you are sorely missed and always will be. You guys changed music forever!!!
I am here for all of this 🤘🤘🤘
Slaughter To Prevail - DEMOLISHER
Five minutes alone and Im broken
you literally made me cry at the end when you lamented about seeing them irl. They were my first concert and I saw them 3 times over the years. recordings dont do anything like what being there was like and it hurts me to my core that this generation will miss out on some of the best sound ever to make its way to the universe
I can't believe that this came out in 90 or 91, still LOVE IT, doesn't sound "DATED TO ME!"
This song was my introduction to Pantera. Instant love!
These boys rock
Seen them at Roseland Ballroom in NYC in 91 with Suicidal Tendencies and Exodus
The pit took a few people that night
Small world. Was at that show too.
In the pit of course \m/
@DebbieDempster-n1q what a show with some friendly violent fun
THIS LOVE ~ THIS LOVE ~ THIS LOVE ~ THIS LOVE ~ THIS LOVE
Dime is the guitar player his brother, Vinnie Paul is the drummer. check out the KISS FACES on Dimes guitar he grew up a big KISS fan.
He is buried in a KISS Coffin donated by Gene Simmons, and he's got Eddie Van Halen's black and yellow guitar with him for all eternity, along with a bunch of bourbon.
💯💯💯💯💯💯
It's absolutely amazing, Phil's vocal abilities were amazing ☮️💜🤘🔥. And Dimebag and Vinnie 👩🍳💋 Reign in Power. 🥁🎸🔥🤘
This takes me back, these concerts back in the 90s were incredible.
if it's up your alley, nickelback's Side of a Bullet is actually about the night that dimebag darrel got shot and killed, and in one of their live performances on youtube, they mention that the riffs/solo they used in the song is from outtakes from pantera themselves
I got my fastest speeding ticket in Nashville once jamming out to Pantera. I even had a Pantera sticker on the car at the time lol. What really sucked was I was a mile from my exit.
ah, the songs of my youth. love em still today. glad to see you enjoying them bro
This album introduced me to Pantera when I was 10 years old. My mind was absolutely blown away. I still listen to this album on a regular basis. Its right up there with Metallicas black album, GN'R Appetite for Destruction and Sepulturas Roots!
4 guys. Dime Bag on guitar. Vinny Paul on drums, Rex Brown on bass, Phil Alsoemo on vocals.
Vinnie Paul is the drummer for Pantera. Another phenomenal musician!
Highly recommend Pantera - 5 Minutes Alone) or (This Love).🔥 Plus Dimebag Darrell's brother Vinnie Paul is the drummer.
This song never fails to turn someone into a metal head 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Dimebag you are missed brother. Noone played the guitar like you. RIP
Awesome band
I've been listening to pantera since the 90s
Drag the water, is another good one by them
You should check out I’m Broken. This my fav from Pantera
RIP St. Vin & Dime. Dime (guitarist) was murdered on stage at the Alrosa Villa Dec 8th 2004. Vinnie Paul (the drummer and Dime's actual brother) died in 2018 at 54 of a heart condition. So damn sad!
Got to finally thrm live this past summer with metallica, and it was epic.
i saw Pantera , when they first came to UK tour of cowboys from hell album in London , the best gig i been to , the sound was amazing , it was mental , a wall of speakers i mean a wall of speakers , cried when dime died and his bro the drummer these was pure metal
That most certianly dimebag darell, the man, the legend.
My very first real concert was Sepultura and Pantera. We got there too late to see Sepultura. It was so loud. I saw Dimebag play.
Dime was a genius and innovator. Not even a hard core metal fan, but Darrell was just different! RIP
Pantera - I'm Broken.
dude we need more Pantera from you....sooo many good songs
I doubt theres a Pantera song you wont enjoy! Thanks for the show! good job.
