    • @Phiigost
      @Phiigost 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@priscillaayusrirezeki6901 Fun fact! Poison dart/tree frogs are poisonous due to their diet. They eat ants and other small insects that have toxins chemicals in their bodies. The frogs can eat these insects without being harmed.
But the frogs that's kept in zoos are not poisonous as their diet is controlled.
So you could technically get a pet poisonous frog if you get one that's still a tadpole/very young and feed them the necessary sustenance and you can have a non-poisonous poison frog!

The lazy and the terminally online have found an effective tool to leverage shame (for things people haven't even done) to abdicate all responsibility whilst getting to act as though they're solving it. They'll never get bored of using it.
There's probably a proper term for it I just haven't stumbled on it yet, but I think of it as Hashtag Thinking.
      > adopt a "only good things" stance on a given topic.
      > do absolutely nothing to achieve or realise "only good things" but make sanctimonious posts or videos.
      > cast everyone that doesn't immediately agree with you as responsible for the problem regardless of their reasoning.
      > attack and encourage others to attack them whilst emphasising the purity of "only good things"
      > feel justified in having defeated "only bad things".
      > get to 400lbs on tiktok.
      > profit?

Depending on how much soda I've been drinking with junk food lol. But my point is it's not what you say but people being fucking lazy.

  • @-v0n-
    @-v0n- 3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

Funny because if she has ever been to school and learn about nobility, she would have known that being fat was a symbol of opulence and good wealth, because if you're fat, you're eating well so you have money.
Also, and again, even in antique Greece the idea of corpulent woman being a standard and being attractive was a thing.
    Different time, different mindset.
If I remember well, the idea of the skinny woman being sexy is kinda recent, in History, because it appeared last century after WW2 in Europe (need to check that though, I'm not confident anymore about something I learnt like 7 or 8 years ago if not more).
So basically, there's a much bigger part of History where fat people were seen as healthier, prettier, and overall, better than skinny people. Even during Renaissance, being fat was still seen as positive..
And being skinny was kinda the opposite, because it "meant" that you weren't eating enough (and by extension, that you were poor and coming from the lower class).
And I mean, look at a good half (and I'm generous) of the paintings made during Renaissance. Women were mostly corpulent. Artists took their inspiration in antiquity, and found this depiction of woman as beautiful.
So, bringing History to support that Fat = Racism is truly stupid. For a long time, Fat = Healthiness, and it was praised among the higher class of society.
If being fat is not seen as positive nowadays, it's only because it's just killing you slowly.
And if black people were seen as monstrous in history, it's not because they were fat (because most of them, were not), it's because they were black. Being racist doesn't need more.
The root of fat phobia is just fucking science. People don't want to be fat because they wanna live long. So they hate on them. And just as encouraging people to get fat is stupid and dangerous, shaming them is as terrible.
People should just live their live the way they want honestly. If they want to make choices that will shorter it, then here they go. Just don't encourage others to do the same by telling them it's good for them or it's cool. It's the same as for cigarette and alcohol. If you wanna take some, go on, but don't force people to do the same. Because no, it's not good for health.
Honestly people like this woman are just dangerous.

This is what happens when the term racism gets thrown around for EVERYTHING. It loses its meaning and becomes just another negative buzzword you don't actually put too much time and energy into. As a kid hearing someone be called a racist was shocking and was taken more seriously (obviously there were those who were racist trying to do the opposite but they were not the majority). Now a days when you hear someone called racist your first thought is "oh ok that's cool, anyway" because it has no meaning anymore other than 'i disagree with you but I refuse to admit that my side isn't the only way of being/thinking so therefore I'll just call you racist to instantly win the argument and get past having to address your actual points" to be clear no I'm not down with real racism, what I'm saying is it's gotten so hard to distinguish the real world racism from the boy-who-cried-wolf brand of internet "racism"
