Understand that BYD will start selling in Australia next year. Hopefully the Han, Tang, Qin Plus models will be made available in RHD form and start selling here in near future once they are selling in Australia.
I am from Visakhapatnam, India. BYD e6 is my car. It is giving good mileage because of blade battery technology, 561 km per single charge. Both Tesla and BYD are good manufacturers.
20% of drag in a conventional car comes from the radiator and associated airflow. Not having a radiator does hopefully not only give room for artistic expression, there is a lot to be gained by designing a snout purely for airflow. Performance and power density is the same thing when dealing with batteries, I suspect the narrator meant energy density when mentioning range? Looked it up: The BYD blade cells are 165Wh/kg for the raw cell, slightly worse than Li-ion, so the higher range must be from a comparable larger battery than a comparable Li-ion EV would need. However the form factor is rather ingenious and very suitable for EVs! Another important issue overlooked by other manufacturers is low minimum regen speed. Most town driving happens at 20 mph, so to have regen work down to crawl speed, makes a big difference on low speed consumption.
This looks very interesting. A new family EV which is not an SUV. I wonder what towing capacity to expect from e-platform 3.0 based cars when they are launched in Europe?
Now if you could just do a van with boot space and enough seats for families with more than 3 kids that would be great :) We have 5 kids, they have cousins and we also host sleep overs too... so we need minimum of an 8 seater, we are noticing more and more 8 seater cars at the school during pickups too. So it's not just my family you would be selling to. There's hundreds of families around Australia. So basically- make a practical people mover EV please
Its has 3 major problem according to my road conditions of my country 1. Low ground clearance it should be minimum 210. 2. Low power it should be minimum 110 kwhr motor. 3. Interior and no cruse control...... All the this should be improved by company .then it will the best car on that market..
@@BYDSingapore Car looks promising (as many BYD EV cars). I am very concerned about BYD in Europe. I do not know the situation in Singapore, but in Europe, BYD mainly serves fleet owners and seems reluctant to serve private customers. @@BYDSingapore BYD needs to be launched in the UK starting with Taxis, postal and such like then at some point to the general public... the BYD Han ev only either in rear wheel drive only or 4x4 will be a profit maker also due to it being a Tesla competitor....
