I have several pieces of the Maxlite 4 and really like the line. The 21-inch spinner is so light, I can very easily lift it into any overhead and I'm over 70 years old and petite. I do agree with you that TravelPro seems to be economizing on the newer Maxlite 5 and really dislike that they've downsized the zippers and eliminated the plastic cup on the bottom exterior of the bag. Thanks for a very good review.

Really Helpful Review! I was deciding between the Maxlite 4 and 5 on Amazon and you really helped me understand the differences that aren't evident from my online search. Online purchasing is really convenient but without helpful reviews like yours, I believe I would have made a mistake. Thank You!
Just want to thank you for all the work you put in your videos. I was in the market for a new bag and your videos were so incredibly helpful and informative. Thanks for all that you do. I decided to go with the Maxlite 5 and I used your link!
I recommend TravelPro Pathways Hardside Luggage. It’s one of my favorites. It has “ molded aluminum corner guards “ which is nice because those corners always get damaged. The Weight is 6.9 lbs. It’s not bad since the hardshell is really really durable.
Thanks for the feedback Henry! Please be sure to use the links pinned at the top of this page to purchase. It doesn't cost you anything, but it does help me out with these videos!
Very helpful, comprehensive review! I wish the TravelPro Maxlite 4 were still available. Maxlite 5 doesn't seem as good.:-( Does the 5 have a connecting belt to hook a briefcase on? Thank you.
At the end of this video, you mentioned that you were going to do a video about travel credit cards. Have you done this yet? I would be very interested to hear what you have to say. Thank you.
great review!!! Based on your video I’m thinking of getting the max lite 4 22 expandable 2 wheel version. Any thoughts on how allowable this is as a carryon both domestic and international??
Hey Brian. Subscribed! Thanks for the review. I was really looking for a detailed review of the difference between 4 and 5 carry on. This definitely helped me make a decision. Im getting the rollaboard version. Btw, do you know if the rollaboard domestic version (maxlight 4) fit most airline international trips? Or should I get the international one?
I have not checked the dimensions, but if the international model is smaller, go with that one. International regulations are a bit smaller than US domestic. HOWEVER, most domestic carry ons will be fine on an international flight. Unless it's blatantly larger, you'll probably be fine taking it international.

thank you for your efforts, if i ever make my mind on one of these, i will use your links for sure, the video is awesome
Excellent review, thanks!!
Hey man I wanted to ask you if I can fit a 17'' Laptop in the front compartment
There is no TSA lock for the Maxlite 5 bag. Like what's the best way to lock it ?
Any idea if the 25" has a thinner zipper compared to the Maxlite 4? Thanks for the comparison!
Thank you for a truthful video

HollyHWedding Unfortunately I haven’t... yet! That video ended up getting pushed back, but it’s still going to be made!
Guess my Maxlite 4 is still good enough. My Tumi and Briggs & Riley hardly get used since my Travelpro is my go to carry on bag
great review!!! Based on your video I’m thinking of getting the max lite 4 22 expandable 2 wheel version. Any thoughts on how allowable this is as a carryon both domestic and international??
Thank you shredman59! Really appreciate the feedback!
Nice video!! I am looking for a good carry on for international flights!
thank you so much for your great and helpful video;)

@@BrianFischer thanks just checked with eva air and they allow 23" in height. :)
Is your 5 the 21"?
I feel like the maxlite 5 series feels flimsy. They say it’s to save weight, but it feels cheap to me.
I have a Yrs rl Pro carty on snd reslly like it
Is it just me, or does the Maxlite 5 look a bit shorter than the Maxlite 4?
Might be the camera angle. They're the exact same size.
@@BrianFischer Gotcha, thanks for the reply. Have you checked out the Samsonite Advena suitcase? If so, would you prefer the Maxlite 5, or the Advena?
