i dont mean to be off topic but does anyone know of a way to log back into an Instagram account?? I somehow forgot my login password. I appreciate any tricks you can offer me
@Cason Lionel Thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Question about the Away bag: If you get the bag without the charger, its the same price as the one with it. It would seem to me that, for the concerns you point out in your video, it would make sense to get the bag with the charger then take it out and leave it out. Maybe keep as a spare or in an emergency kit. The edge to still get the bag without the charger, even though you are paying the same price, is getting a bit of space back in the bag where the battery would have been held. At least I think so, I've never seen the inside of the bag without the charger. Thanks for this fantastic review. It goes into detail I haven't seen with anyone else.
I am in no need of a new carry on but I still watched the whole video. It was very informative and you even mentioned the stitching, well done video. I was surprised you didn't have more subs. Keep it up :)
Nice review. I still preferred the Away for the battery since I liked the idea of convenient storage, but I just saw that the Chester is only $100 so it really doesn't make sense to spend twice as much for minor convenience.
Fantastic review Brian! We are a startup currently in development of a new smart suitcase (we do not have a website yet, as we are focused totally on the design development of the product and still building out a business plan). Just wanted to say this really was a great analysis and helps us a lot!
Hey! Thank you very much I appreciate it! Please keep me up to date on the development, as I'm curious to see what smart technology has in store for the travel industry. I attended the Consumer Electronic Show earlier this year and got the chance to see a carry-on that follows you, rather than having to pull it. I'm excited for what you have in store.
Brian thank you so much for the detailed breakdown and comparison of the too bags. I had been debating buying away for over a year but your explanation of private labels is eye opening. I had never even heard of Chester prior to watching your video so I'm glad to see there is a similar alternative in the marketplace for less the cost! I'll be purchasing the Chester thanks to your review.
Happy I was able to help! You wouldn't believe the amount of private labels out there, I've been meaning to do a separate video on those entirely, but more often than not they're literally the same product, with slight design changes. Let me know how you like the Chester!
Great video. I just bought the Chester after comparing a dozen different bags online, and am VERY happy with it so far. Only wish I’d seen your video first so I could’ve used your coupon code!
Thank you! Just one question... have you been looking to purchase another one? I only ask since it wouldn't make much sense to look at review videos like mine after the fact.
I honestly think the only thing that might give the Away a slight edge in the Chester is their lifetime warranty, I believe Chester’s is 10 years which is still amazing in my opinion.
That's a very good point! At this point, I haven't been able to actually test whether or not a bag will last a full 10 years or not and honestly I'm not all too sure a startup like Away or Chester will be around that long. They could be bought, dissolved, etc. If I'm looking for a true "lifetime" warranty, I'm going with a company that's been around for awhile, Briggs And Riley for example, for over 25 years. But that comes with a price! amzn.to/2MOjQfz
I purchased the Away large carry-on and my opinion is identical to yours. I ended up returning the luggage as I personally didn't see it worth the price. Your advice and judgement is sound.
You may be right! It isn't uncommon for some factories to supply similarily designed products to various brands. I don't know if Go Penguin or Chester or Away are all supplied by the same manufacturer. However, I will tell you this though, I have personally talked to the Chester founder. He's located here in America and is a very honest guy. Their customer service is top notch and they're more than just an "Amazon Brand".
@@BrianFischer I'm a TravelPro fan & have had my Crew 4 set for nearly 20 years. The trend of so many luggage companies popping up is intriguing to me.
@@FlySistah It's the direct-consumer-trend, not just with luggage. There's plenty of companies that are slick with their marketing, but only have a slightly different product. It's something new, exciting, and fresh than the current lineup millenials love.
Thanks for your in depth review. I was looking at Away and Beis when I came across you video. Chester seems like the better value. And, thank you for opining on the batter charger. I thought this was a great addition with the Away, but after hearing your thoughts, I changed my mind and probably saved a little cash too.
Thank you Mary for the feedback! Honestly having both of them sitting in my closet currently, there's seriously no major difference between the two except price. Happy Travels!
Great video! I am planning to buy a new carry-on in the next month or so. I keep leaning towards the Away due to the Lifetime Warranty and honestly I just like how it looks a little better. Does the Chester have a similar warranty? What part of Indiana are you from?! I am about an hour south of Indianapolis here! And I am subbing just for those bloopers! lol
The Chester does have a similar, 10-year warranty. Now I know what you're thinking, a lifetime is better than a 10-year. However, keep in mind, if you get even close to 10 years out of a carry on that's semi-frequently used, you've gotten your money's worth. I am from Southern Indiana! I live in Evansville currently.
Hey JB, unfortunately there's isn't a "discount" for the Away carry on. When you purchase through my link, you'll receive an in-store credit for your next purchase and that's it. You can receive a discount on the Chester though ($19.50) to bring your total to $175.50 before tax. When you get to the checkout, enter "bmf" (without the quotes) in the coupon code area and you'll see the discount take place. Thanks! Brian
Hey Salah, add the item to your cart and then when you get to the checkout page, enter "bmf" in the coupon code area and you will see the discount applied. Let me know if you have any trouble!

Thank you SO much, Brian! I was comparing these exact bags and this was exactly what I needed! Love your style, keep publishing!
Thanks for watching Elaina! I appreciate it! Which did you end up buying?

Thanks Brian I was looking for a review comparing to the Away. I wasn’t sure about the charging feature. This really helped me with making a decision.
Great Monica! Glad I was able to provide a bit more info!

Thank you! This is the best review of luggage I’ve found, and tbh one of the most honest reviews for any product in general!
Thank you for the review. Very helpful. Did you get a chance to compare the Solgaard to the Monos?
Very well constructed video, real quality
Great review, thanks! The bloopers at the end were the best hahaha
Will buy the way with detachable battery for its lifetime warranty . Thanks .
What about the compression system? Does the Chester have an equivalent? That’s a huge sale point for the Away for me
I went to the Chester website and it doesn't appear that they have the compression straps anymore. What model is this video show?
I purchased the Away large carry-on and my opinion is identical to yours. I ended up returning the luggage as I personally didn't see it worth the price. Your advice and judgement is sound.
Found your channel and I like how you present and compared the luggage. Have you made a comparison video between Away and Rimowa yet?
I have not! That's something I'll look into!
I suspect Go Penguin luggage is made in the same factory.

I take it this the regular Away carry-on size, not The Bigger Carry-on?
Yes! This is the regular carry-on size!
"Scientific testing" made me laugh haha. Thanks for this video, Super helpful :)
Best laboratory on this side of the Mississippi! Thanks for watching Elle!
Have you any preference between the two bags 6 months on since making this video?
Chester - easy. Why pay someone else more for the exact same product?
I’ve been contemplating which carry on to get I clicked the link but the code wasn’t working do I need to do something else?

It’s not worth spending a lot of money on luggage, the airliners are just going to throw it around and it’ll get damaged after your first trip.
What ethnicity are you? Is your real last name Fischer?
This was incredibly helpful. Thank you!!
