Excellent critique of this luggage. Thanks for your thoughts. Excellent, clear and precise English too. I'm going to follow you here and on your website. Thanks.
Great review. My only peeve preventing me from pulling the trigger is the lack of a TSA lock. Seems pretty basic and wouldn't really add much weight. Wonder why it isn't there almost 5 years on since its launch
Thanks for the review. I bought the bag based on your review. However, I realized quickly that the bag is NOT what is advertised. Two trips with this bag have been frustrating because it kept tipping over. It's a nuisance, and it is not at all usable. I have filed a return to Travelpro and hope to get my money back. While it is true that it is light and is made of high-quality materials, its functional aspect, especially the stability, is very poor. The problem compounds when the bag is extended or has a backpack through the handle on the top. I DON'T RECOMMEND this bag.
Why are you giving the size in lbs if you live in Europe? Why do companies make bags that are bigger than what is allowed? It only takes a miserable check-in clerk to make your life hell.

Why don't you open up the Travelpro Maclite 5 and show us inside
At 6:18 he shows the inside
Sigh *unzips*
Travelpro says this is 21 inches tall, so why the hell does it actually measure 23"!?
I feel duped and want my money back!!!
The wheels & handle make it 23”
I was thinking the same... I'll have to pass on this because of the extra inch

Exactly, just once I'd like to see a review of an international carryon that actually works in Europe or South America.
The UK still uses pounds
