- Day 3 cruise vlog from our Adventure of the Seas 5-night cruise out of Galveston. Our day in Costa Maya at Maya Chan Beach Resort was amazing! Maya Chan offers all the benefits of an all inclusive resort-- transportation, drinks, great food and service, water toys, and relaxation. Thanks for this. Quick question - do you feel like you had enough time at the resort with the disemark /embark time, taxi, etc?
It was a unique day for us. We've never ported so late. The keys to getting sufficient time there are 1) get off the ship asap. We were waiting for an announcement, and they never made one, lol, so I'd recommend just heading down; and 2) stay at the resort until the last transportation. With those two actions, it'll be plenty of time to fully enjoy it!
Traveling with carnival in March. Is it possible to book Maya Chan a la carte?
Absolutely! They are an independent vendor. They take reservations from anywhere.
question for you, wife and I booked this beach in February, on the return trip do they drop you at the meeting place or closer to the port?
Inside the port, actually. The passenger inside the car shows their sea pass card to the gate attendant and they let the car through. 👍🏼

I HEARD THE WATER IS LIKE BROWN MUD.
Due to the geographic location of Mahajual, the water is not aqua blue like in other parts of Caribbean. This resort is honest about that in the information they send you before you pay. However, the condition of the water ranges depending on the weather and time of year.

@@BaldGod absolutely you can swim! Also, don’t forget about the pool! If one is expecting crystal blue ocean water, Costa Maya overall might be a disappointment. For us, everything else about this resort makes up for the water, which they can’t control anyway.
