- It’s day three of our Royal Caribbean Harmony of the Seas Caribbean cruise. It’s been an unbelievably awesome cruise so far.

Our day at Perfect Day at Coco Cay was crazy cool. If you haven’t seen that video yet, you have to check it out. • Harmony of the Seas Vl... Today promises to be another great day. We are in Costa Maya and we are headed to Maya Chan. Maya Chan Beach Resort is located four miles south of the Port of Costa Maya. Costa Maya reserves your spot ahead of time and holds it for you until you arrive, so we didn’t feel rushed to get off the ship. We made our way through the Port of Costa Maya, and found our tour operator without any problems. After a bumpy, but fun taxi ride we arrived at Maya Chan. The vibe was totally chill, and we almost instantly relaxed into the calm of this peaceful resort. From there, it was great food, water sports, a relaxing massage and ice cold drinks. Back on Harmony of the Seas we headed straight for the waterslides, and had an absolute blast. We capped the night off with an amazing performance of Royal Caribbean’s Fine Line water show. I gotta say this show was super cool. It was a great day, and we close the vlog out with a recap of our adventure.

We were at Maya Chan 3 years ago with 3 other couples ; had the BEST time ever... all the drinks and food you could hold.! It was fabulous!!
Wow Maya Chan is on the list for our next trip to costa maya! Costa maya had the most BEAUTIFUL water I’d ever seen while we were there so i hope for the local people and ecosystems sake there it clears up! Still looks beautiful there regardless

Hey Sheri-Yeah, I have to agree with you on Mexico; as much as we're looking forward to the Southern Caribbean in a little over a year, we do miss Costa Maya and Cozumel. There is definitely an energy or vibe that runs through that entire region. We need to go back!

Our Allure cruise this October just got re-routed to Costa Maya and I knew (thanks to this review) that Maya Chan is where we needed to go.. reservation request submitted!
So glad the Sargassum wasn't as bad when you were there. In May it was piled high on the beach, we didn't go anywhere near the, just had drinks at the pool !
I loved Maya Chan! They made me tortillas out of cheese so I could have tacos and they sent us on the buss with mixed drinks..
After I watched this vlog I told my friend about Maya Chan and we just booked it for our Carnival Cruise for next September! I’m so excited!! Thanks for doing something so fun so that we can experience too!!!

Maya Chan looks like a great place!! Costa Maya was one of our very first ports we ever stopped at, I thimk was in 2005 if I remember correctly? Looks way different now compared to back then. Ohhhh loved watching clips of the aqua show! Brings back memories of being on Symphony & watching Hiro, their aqua show, the talent of those performers is amazing!!! Can’t wait to see your Cozumel vlog! We’ll be there in a month:) Still no plans but can’t wait for sunshine & tropical instead of cold & snow lol!

we were there the next week- our fourth trip there...if they would only improve the road...David said they were trying to get some help to fix the condition of the road. No matter, it's worth the trip.
On the Symphony in October. We didn't make a reservation for any dining or shows and had no issues .
I've always been too scared to book a non-ship-sponsored excursion but I think I will when we go here next January!!
My mom and I did a snorkel trip at Costa Maya. They didn't give us instructions on how to get out of the developed part. It was hard! LOL.
Some beach clubs have seaweed fences which really help

Hey Robert, NO, it's not. Unfortunately, the seaweed issue was in full swing while we were there. Reach out to them and they will be honest with you about how bad it is before you book. Happy cruising!

Looks wonderful! So I am guessing this was an excursion with the ship and everything was included in your price? You might have already said this. It did not look very busy there at all. The ship sounds fantastic - will have to check it out.
We booked it separately- the ship doesn’t sell excursions there - and yes it was all included Including the transportation to and from the beach
that water looks like rusty runoff from a water main break. not my jam, though the food looks great

Hi there! My sister and I will be first-time cruisers this February on Royal Caribbean's Adventures of the Sea! Maya Chan look incredible! As a first-time cruiser, I'm anxious about excursions that are not organized by the cruise line. Was transportation to and from Maya Chan safe? Would you recommend this excursion for first-time cruisers? Also, your videos are incredible!! :)

How long does the seaweed last ...
How far of a walk is it from ship to pickup point looks like a long walk?
Not too far, but similar to the walk in Cozumel- longer pier, and depending on how hot it is, it can be good to take it slow.

In February our ship is only in Costa Maya from 7am until 2pm. Still worth doing Maya Chan?
That's a bit tight because it's a drive to Maya Chan. You may want to see what time Maya Chan opens that day. If they open before 10am, maybe, if not, I'd do something else.

I was with you up until the point of seeing the color of that water. The water in the Caribbean is suppose to be blue, preferably turquoise. Not brown! yuck!
It's because of the seaweed issue that she talked about in the beginning of the video.
