Great info and I wish I was on your ship with you. I can’t wait to cruise to Alaska. I have heard a lot of this info before and I like your presentation. I’m a senior citizen so I haven’t had a lot of experience with kids. It is definitely great to know about the kids clubs and checking in so early. I have a few grandkids that are young enough to use the kids facilities. I haven’t cruised with them yet but hope to soon.

Norwegian allows you to make reservations ahead of time even with the dining packages. I have my reservations already for my November cruise.

We have subscribed and love your tips! We are Retired Times to Cruise. We have a 71 day DIY World Cruise starting soon. 3 ships, 3 lines and lots of ports. We can’t understand the logic of booking a check in time then showing up 3 hours early with 6 big suitcases and blocking everyone’s access to the lines. Porters are the way to go! We lots of times drop bags with the porters then go for a tour or zip into a store to pick up a few items, then check in. We have dropped bags with the porters, checked in, got our cruise cards and leave for a few hours depending on check in times. Luggage is the “PAIN” of travel…

Did you like nachi cocom better than paradise beach? For a group of first timers who just want to relax, what do you recommend?

Dropping off your luggage when you are parking close to the terminal. Say in the terminal parking lot at Galveston. Just causes more congestion for others trying to get to the terminal. My opinion from what I've experienced.

Some people are more important than others and just checkin when they want. Even if they have a different checkin time Especially if they are in a big group with different checkin times but decide to all checkin at one time.

Why does everyone talk about the prep. I could easily do this. Its the humiliation of the procedure itself is why I wont get one. I know everyone says " You wont feel it or even know" See this is where people are wrong. I absolutely will know before and after. And theres no way you dont feel it !!

I'm also an overpacker because my thought is better to have it ànd not need it instead of looking around for it.. lol and I'm a dude. Im teying to juat bring one check in bag and one backpack and that's IT! I enjoyed your video as backround noise and helpful info while i amazon shopped for my alaska cruise in a couple of weeks! 😅

Great review of Equinox....been on this ship 3 times and have a 14 day cruise booked on her again in Jan 25......Celebrity is the best cruise line as we have been on others .....did a transatlantic on the new Celebrity Ascent and it was great!!!

I just got back off Mariner of the Seas and did visit Paradise Beach Club, specifically, getting the upgrade 30 dollar premium liquor package. The drinks were good and one of my friends had the normal beach pass and I had the upgrade liquor, Is it worth it: the answer is NO, it is not worth the extra 30 dollar upgrade,. Even though they use better liquor, they have no Anejo tequilas, they do not use any premium triple sec, Cointreau, Grand Marnier or the like, So by using the same mixers that are okay and using general triple sec, the overall difference is very nominal between the two different margaritas on the rocks. So to spend an extra 30 dollars per person is just not worth it. Otherwise, Paradise Beach Club was wonderful and we had great time. The food was outstanding. Would go back again just not adding the 30 dollars for premium liquor

Hi, I just found your channel. Thanks for all the info, we are traveling on the Solstice this October from Honolulu to Sydney! We also have the same laundry hamper, I put a couple Bounce sheets in the bottom for the scents. Then throw the dirty clothes in a plastic bag in the suitcase. 😉🚢

We just came back from our cruise with a stop in Cozumel. On a whim, my wife and I decided to try the Lucha Libre (Mexican wrestlers) experience, which included tacos and margaritas. Neither of us our wrestling fans per se, but this excursion hit one of our all time favourites for it's entertainment and value. The guides, team members and wrestlers were at their best and the interaction/energy was contagious. The event takes place literally down the road from the cruise port (a short 5 minutes drive). Honestly, I couldn't recommend this excursion more, especially if you have kids - the entire audience got involved it was awesome!

Love this video! I live in Miami and sailed to Alaska for 10-days from Seattle on Friday. I returned home a coule of days ago, I never check luggage as I pack efficiently -- global business travel is my jam and I carry those packing habits over to vacations via land or sea. I wear Barbie size clothing and pack skinny. I never momma bear pack. I let adults make smart decisions and I have no say or input on what they pack, nor do I pack for them. So I say skip the bulky clothing; go for cashmere/merino wool thermals and socks and wear your waterproof / resistance boots (my feet were never cold or wet walking on glaciers). I agree, pack sneakers as I work out every morning on top walking, hiking, dog musing, canoeing, fishing and animal watching. Because I am a spa junkie bring OKA-B sandals spa shoes are a must. My clothes I can wear from sunset to sunrise and always best dressed with our without heels. No Amazon fashons for me. There are too may other venues to shop for stylish clothing and see I do not want to see 10 other clones in my outfit on any given day. Laundry service included with our suite fare , not to mention and who packs dirty cloths in their suitcase. In the end this cruise was amazing and I over packed which I was trying to avoid coming from Miami with only a carry-on. I did not pack or need any sweaters or layers. I say quality over quantity. gave all of my purchased winter/cold weather gear purchsed (jacket, bib overal snow pants, gloves, earmuffs, hats and etc.) to one of vocalist-enterainers who wore my size as I would have no need for this stuff in Miami. I typically pack clothing I have not intentions on bringing home so my return trip is lighter. I began tracking the weather begining two weeks b4 and it was mild 50-60's with light percipation on the Alaskan Islands -- Seattle was 85F degrees upon on our arrival for sailing two days prior and 2 days before and after so we enjoyed a wonderul stay.

For large ships with lots of walking tennis shoes are needed.

It is simply two people chatting and using bizarre pronunciations to well known words ....ARBA!......it's ABBA....I was on this very ship at Easter on the way to Australia......did you cover the fact that it has an actual grass lawn on the top deck....did you mention the glass blowing....did you mention the exclusive sun deck or the fact it does not have a covered pool? did you mention the silence screens for the corridors...NO.....dreadful review

I went on 9/11/24. I overall liked it. I premade the reservation but didn't reserve chairs. I was probably the 1st one there and was given a table with an umbrella in addition to a lounge chair right on the beach. I think I got lucky with the chair. The food at the buffet was ok I prefered the food they brought from the menu vs the buffet. The drinks seemed to lack alcohol IMO. I'm comparing that to the other beach day where after 3 drinks I couldn't feel my face 😂 I didn't even feel buzzed and drank several drinks. I really enjoyed the horseback riding I scheduled. It was through the woods that I was kind of nervous at 1st because we went through water from flooding and though sweet jesus is there snakes lol Overall I enjoyed my day the resort was very low key you definitely had a busier day than when I was there. The restrooms were very clean, I had my picture taken with parrots as well. The service was amazing, they were very responsive to my emails. I would recommend the trip there I enjoyed it and the price was right. They do have a pharmacy there you can buy what ever you wanted it was crazy I was never in one before.

I have just completed my list for 7 days on NCL in New England and Canada in September. 4 pairs of pants - different weights, 9 shirts, 2 lightweight cardigans, 1 fleece, 1 raincoat, 1 pair of lace up sneakers, 1 pair black slide on shoes, 1 pair of hiking sandals, 1 pair of dressy sandals. I hope it will all go in my carryon.

You can bring a steamer on your cruise. We always do. I'm a retired agent & been on 20 cruises.
