I can see it now, the last remaining team members just respawned while the enemy team gains victory with end-game crits in hand rushing towards the respawn door, everyone devastated knowing full well of the outcome and can't do anything but just stand there and weep

Finally, as a medic main, i can express my true feelings whenever that 120hp scout steals the medkit and i am about to die of third degree burns

They all feel so in-character! The differences are everything: Soldier punching the ground, Medic's gasp bringing a hand to his mouth, Pyro and Scout being the ones who sob, Sniper trying to hold back and stay professional, Spy feeling embarrassed afterwards, it's all so good!

Yeah, but scout looked around in desperation, like he couldn't believe that tragedy happened. Spy looked around to make sure nobody saw him, cause image is more important than a friend I guess

in every fan animation that has scout crying, they always use that laughing sound, kinda funny that his laugh sounds like that
engi's also sounds like the very end of the wrench laugh taunt before he coughs (not schadenfreude).

Sniper's my favourite, it's like he's too sad to even do the classic hand swing thing, so all he can muster is a half-hearted ground kick.

It reminds me of the ending to the original Planet of the Apes movie. And it fits consider what that character was doing this animation over.

What I love the most is how in-character they all are, for real! Soldier screams in rage and pain, Pyro cries like a child, Spy displays sadness but quickly pats himself into his usual demeanor, Medic seems taken aback and lost. This is perfect, it NEEDS to be added, idc when but it just HAS TO, great job!

Duuuude! The animation is spot on. Even valve's own taunts seem a little, hammy or too bouncy? Hard to describe, but your animation fits the mercs' body languages perfectly! Very well made
always appreciate when taunts stay true to the characters, especially when it's an all-class taunt
they could've all just had an over-the-top grieving animation, but instead they all get something more in-line with how each of them would act. particularly love how little the medic actually seems to care. scout's and demo's are a bit weaker in that regard imo, but they're still good and well-animated and such.
no idea how much thought was actually put in and could totally be overanalyzing as i often do, but i still think it's neat ^^'
Ah yeah. Me and kosta struggled making concepts for some classes as we based the animations on the saddest voiceline the character had. Some didn't really ''crying'' voice lines so we had to improvise a little :^)
being drunk makes you more emotional than when you're sober so I think it somehow fits demo

@@MinaDrawzStuff actually, that wasn't the issue i had with demo's. thinking about it, it isn't really that it's out of character for him, it's more that the others feel like they have more general use cases, while demo's feels more specific to me, when i think it'd still fit his character if it was more general, particularly on grieving a loss of someone or something, especially considering the emotional drunk thing.
it's not a big deal, i'm just a massive stickler for details honestly :p
I like Scout’s and Demo’s, I personally think all of them were pretty in character. Demo’s taunt definitely feels like something he would do while drunk, and Scout’s being so similar to Spy’s is what sells it for me. Like father like son.
The part where soldier stood up and got shot and that perfect cut before the scream finished is hilarious.
Soldier holding onto his helmet as he gets up is a nice detail

i would love this taunt to be looping, so that mercs that drop to their knees may stay there as long as the player likes to "pay respects". i don't know about the others, though

This taunt has the potential to create some of the funniest moments the game has ever seen. Just like the scaredy cat did.
This has got to be the most memeable workshop taunt I've seen, might actually replace when players would normally killbind.

I think the one that was the saddest for me was Spy. You can clearly see how he is worried about looking weak to his team and quickly tries to dry his face. 1:48
I always wanted a defeated taunt, Whenever we win a match, I use the Oblooterated, but I never had one for losing. I will absolutely upvote this!

This taunt is so perfect, I'm surprised it's not already a thing in the game
sniper's ever so quiet "ah, piss" was the icing on the cake
Wow, the taunt looks so good. It perfectly captures each mercenary's personality.
Finally, some actual taunts and not a bunch of baby cars for Mercenaries. It's literally the opposite of "Schadenfreude" and i love it. Crying on how bad your team is(matchmaking sucks) in comparison to enemy, crying how you've lost your only Medic, Getting cornered by whole enemy team, Observe how every single one of your team just died and you couldn't help them, because you're the slowest class it's just as many situations as with laughing taunt.
I have a new ideas for an All Class taunts: _"Idle Animation"_ (Basically a special taunt for all classes which makes them do something while they're not fighting) Like Spy leaning onto a wall, smoking a cigarette and looking around while doing so. Same with other classes. Scout could "fight" with the air by using Bat as if he's practicing baseball hits Or make him sit on the ground and do that animation from "Meet the Scout" where he sits on a Heavy's unconscious body and eating his Sandwich and looking around. I don't know that Soldier might do, but *Pyro* - _I've had enough of his taunts, they're too childish for a pyromaniac psycho like him._ As an example of what he could do while in idle: Sharpen his Axe, Fill his Flamethrower with Gasoline, Play with enemy team's Heads, Just watch how some corpse is burning while laughing horrifyingly at it. And etc.
I have no time for writing more ideas for each merc now, maybe later. But if anyone would do this taunt, Mercs who does this, must be looking around constantly as if they're looking at a battle or just friendly server having fun.
Also there could be implemented some taunts from SFMs, maybe some mastermind could find one in "Emesis Blue" as well. I'm living on these SFMs and making Mercs more SFM-like would help TF2 a lot. But better not OVERDO these taunts with flashy moves, like here you did with Demoman, like who moves like That then he gets drunk? As if he's actively trying to fall, but couldn't because gravity doesn't allow him.
Still, good taunt you've made, looking forward to see it in-game someday!
