The expressions of the mercs is competitive with even the official valve sfms. The emotions were so vivid I could feel the medic's disdain for the civ heavy, and fear for his life of the sniper. Top tier shit, would recommend.
The amount of hours you had to go through to animate the heavy was mind blowing. It really captured the moment of playing a Civilian Heavy. All seriousness, that was amazing!

I seriously thought this was made by a channel that has been posting SFMs for a while. Then I checked the account. This is seriously amazing for a first post. Almost illegal how good this is animated and rendered. You are going to become a big name in the TF2 SFM community. I can feel it.
I'm still amazed how damn good the TF2 characters look even today. The close up on Sniper at 0:42. The shadows, normal maps details of his wrinkles and skin and the texture work painted on him with small details. With the cinematic lighting it looks great. All thanks to giving detail to stylized design. Much more interesting honestly than today. Where stylized often mean artistic over details. They lack those small touches like Sniper's wrinkle lines on his forehead and small changes in the coloring. It's not flat smooth colors on him, it's more of a painting blending them together and adding more. The base skin color is just a canvas for the extra touches.
Especially at the part where Civilian Heavy was just staring at Sniper outside, the humor somehow felt anime-like (I thought of Nichijou, K-On, etc), which was subtly hilarious. Love the lighting and smoothing animation too. Instant subscribe

This Animation Quality is Amazing, and the camerawork is also superb. Like, it's up there with the quality of the more famous animators, you defnitely deserve more recognition!
This is so well-done! The facial expressions are so emotive, but my personal favourite aspect is how tense you can make some of the scenes look/feel with lighting, sounds and camerawork. Personally, I found the screen shake to be a little over-exaggerated, but that’s my only gripe. Great animation; I’m looking forward to seeing what you post next!

One technical issue: The sniper's rifle has shot out an entire cartridge, rather than just the bullet. Don't worry, even blockbuster movies make this mistake sometimes :D Also bullets from rifled barrels don't tumble like this, as they are stabilized by the gyroscopic effect because of their rotation along the flight axis imposed by the rifling.
This is your first video and you've already proven to have the potential to be as good as other sfm animators like ElTorro or StBlackSt,i'm looking forward to whatever you'll do next because the fact that you made something this good in 4 days is impressive!
