Great video thank you !
All that varnish on the oil ring area is probably your reason why it was burning oil. That’s why you try your best to change your oil within 3-5k. The more you prevent varnish buildup, the less likely and longer you go without burning oil.
Yeah that was the main reason. that’s why I got the car for free. It already had 289k miles when I got it.
Can you share the Part Numbers of the Piston Rings and gaskets needed?
It’s added in the description.
I just bought a Corolla. Engine spits oil and white smoke outta exhaust. Swapped engine, same problem
Probably a bad head gasket or cracked head. The white smoke mean coolant is going into the exhaust system and the spiting out oil is probably exhaust soot that’s being washed out.
you need pistong ring cleanning
So this is a top half rebuild?
Yes , plus piston rings and rod bearing.
Thanks for the info; i have the same car, year and model. But i have loud engine noise but doesnt burn oil or whatsoever. Dont have a clue as to the reason. Can you help?
What kinda noise ?
@@4WheeledAdventures Sounds like a V8 engine or large displacement engine (5.7litres engine sound)
That doesn’t really doesn’t give me a good description of the noise as not all v8 sounds the same.
@@4WheeledAdventures Please can you share an email or whatsapp number so I can video it for you to see
Post it on your TH-cam
Hi, what about the oil consumption?, did it disappear?
For the most part I can go about 3000 miles tell it eats about a quart of oil. which is pretty normal for the amount of miles that are on the car.
@@4WheeledAdventures Ok, that's normal, considering the wear on the cylinders. Thank you.
Mines wasted a quarter in a an hour drive 🤣
How much does a job like that cost ?
A few thousand depending on the shop and how they charge.
@@4WheeledAdventures got ya found a new engine with 78k miles for 1900$ do you suggest changing the engine all together at that point
@@Emmysofly yeah if they give you somewhat of a warranty and it runs good I would .
@@4WheeledAdventures they have 6 months warranty okay thank you so much
