The Slip Angle having ridden in this monster, I most certainly think it does! Hard to explain, but the rb26dett delivers power in such a smooth, yet violent way.

That whole fucking car is a flex. The way Tommy meticulously plans his builds and executes those plans is phenomenal.
It's cool how he went to Japan to build the story behind the car too. He covers all bases.

@@TheSlipAngle i could use that money to pay for college 😂. But compared to that. At least he kept the 2.6 internals stock. 35k for an extra 0.2 liters. Might as well go 2j at that point.

If you watch his videos this is not inexpensive, and astronomical to some. He probably has 60-70k into this car.

A lot of people get mad that tommy takes so long to build his cars but that’s how they turn out so perfect. Perfection takes time and I’d gladly wait a year to watch a car get built and turn out like this than watch someone build a car in 2 months and have it go through 4 engines

That's an intelligent build with each parts, modifs and upgrades having a real purpose and most important, this one can be driven everyday.
This car is SO clean. I've never been a big Nissan/Skyline fan, but this one speaks to me. I love that all white on te37 classic look. The noises are fantastic too 🎼

Nice to see the car built for what it was intended for. GT-SS best street set up you can get for response and power! Combined with the 264s, well thought out! I have been working on these for almost 20 years, and have owned 15 GTRs, so I know them pretty well.

Everything tommy did to this r32 is how i would want my r32 to be, with the exception of a single turbo conversion with a Precision 6466 just because of ease of maintenance on the Hot side and newer turbo technology. Everything else is perfect

2:18 That's an Autech R32 4 door with RB26 (but no turbo, NA only). Very rare now, but a cool car and 4 doors are cool.

@@TheSlipAngle I've got an Autech 260RS which is a Nissan Stagea wagon with the RB26, I've become slightly obsessed with Autech cars as a result. The R33 4 Door GTR is another rare gem.

By the way I saw your FD review videos on TH-cam a while ago and thought they were spot on. I've also got an FD but it's shat a water seal, may rebuild and go single turbo, but I do like the twins also!

I had one in 1998 it was a stage 1 mod 430 hp 15 psi standard turbos exhaust tune and the standard cams turned whatever that meant.it revved to 9000 rpm all stage 1 did.it did 11.9 @ 112 mph quarter mile.it was king of the street back then miss it

TommyFYeah's i had twin 2530s on my 32....... seriously so a new Garrett G35 single.... 700hp with and comes on earlier then the 2530s and that with a Holinger or PPG and you will have the ultimate street car ;)

This is how I want my GTR to be, super responsive. Getrag 6 speed one day maybe lol, for now the 5 speed will do for now
No wait time for power. It ruled the circuit not the strip. I agree, exactly how Godzilla should be.
In Japan and other countrys it ruled street racing too, Just because it did not do it in the US and it was not a Drag car. There is some thing wrong with it. Well the other JDM did that the Supra Mk4 ruled drag. To me Skyline has to be twin turbo nothing else.

My r33 gtst had 350bhp and I thought that was feckin fast (I paid £2600 for it bout 8 years ago, wish I kept it, man that was cheap), that must be a beast. They sound sooo mean.

I would say 4-450hp in the RX7 FD is the sweet spot for a useable street car, any more and your not putting it all down,
And remember it’s at about 2600lb in some variants from factory, play around with that and it will be on you quick,
Skyline has the 4wd though and that works well In that platform.
R32 and a FD would be my 2 car garage,
Evo is awesome for styling I just don’t love them and the R34 whilst being the legend all Americans are dying to get hold of I don’t think lives up to the hype, it got bloated and heavy,,,, R32 is the daddy.
All Tommy’s builds are done to a incredible level,
I don’t get the whole mirror thing or the constant pursuit of fitment perfection but everyone has there vices
0:32 is why gtr's were banned in America 🤣. Awesome vid man, loved the shots and especially the audio. The panning shots were framed so perfectly with the background like they're all wallpaper worthy.
