How To Install An AEM X-Series Air/Fuel Sensor Gauge (WideBand UEGO Gauge)

- After any engine install it would be smart to install a Air fuel Ratio Gauge. This gauge will help in getting the Air Fuel mixture close to 14.7 as possible. Terry shows the parts and how easy it is to install, then take a ride showing the AEM Air Fuel Ratio Wide band Gauge in action.. check it out..

Nice. I have the same wideband, waiting to install. I hadn't even thought about installing in the 2nd o2 location, but that is a good idea. Saves having to weld in another bung.

what a coincidence! i just installed one of these on my pontiac G8. added it for extra assurance when running nitrous to get some realtime data on it if i accidently lean out for whatever reason.

High 13s to 1 are the sweet spot to keep the engine safe. 14 is gettin lean. I hope you put copper antisieze on the threads of that sensor.

What did you tap the power wire to?? The base tune seemed good tho!

Did you just connect just the power and ground for tuning? I was told I need to connect the serial wire to tune but not sure
whats good Shwifty, brotha along with the power and ground i had to instal a o2 sensor as well. it wasnt that bad..
What did you do with the blue and white wire tap it with the red or ground them ?

It’s better on 3 digits, you really don’t need 2 decimal places on a gauge that moves so fast. If you need 2 decimal places with AFR you need to grab it off a data logger. It’s meaningless on a gauge.
its a preference.. i see people use both, its all good as long as you get the results accurately..
Do you know if they make a white face plate for this newer model wideband? I have a White Gauge Cluster in my f body. The older style comes in both colors, but this newer one only in black as far as I see
im not sure Smokey, i will be surprised if they dont.. id contact Summit or AEM to find out.. sorry i couldnt give you a more accurate answer buddy..
I thought the Wideband X was a dual gauge with boost and AFR readings?
