I know this is old, but I love these videos! I really wish I could find more like them. I wanna learn this program, but all I can seem to find is stiff corporate training videos. Teaching with humor is the best way to teach, imo.

Well I have nearly 400 of them!

Yet another new feature I'd never heard of. Part of the problem of bosses not paying for upgrade training and employees fully utilised so no time to look. Going through more of your videos now as I became unemployed last Friday and I do have some time whilst looking for work. Thanks for all your help over the years Neil. Jim

Just seen, you are at 10K now! Congrats! Been watching these vids for a while now to get some new and different ways to do 3D modelling for a project I am working on at university, so thank you for the great videos!

Is it possible in regular assembly environment to apply a rotation constraint only in one direction? Like to resemble how one way clutches work?

Can you give an example of the same thing but with current positional values driving something else? i.e. the degree at which you have it changing to at that moment, drives the angle of the end of arm tool.
I'm thinking you have to use Joint or multiple tools at once... But it's failing to register anything I'm doing.

Hello there TFI is there any way i can contact you i have some questions i would like to ask about inventor i have a project with a chair and i dont know how to make the back legs from a drawing done in 3ds MAX i cannot use it and i dont know how to remake it in inventor with its angles and dimmensions also if i do the legs i dont know how to angle constraint them both on any angle each other :)

Oh great tip this. The min. max. type limit was already there in 2010 or 2012 I believe. The 'use as resting position' is newer tho.

Hello TFI,, I've been looking for a video on how to create an animated robotics arm for painting in inventor, so is there any chance you can cover this topic?
    Thanks!

Check out his channel mate. He has a lot of Inventor tutorials. Know that programming the physics into the models is a bit wonky. As he says, be gentle with the app!

Yes, becouse "if you pull harder will go through" this option is completely usless when you have like for example 4 panels garage gate on the hinges.

I like your teaching techniques of DOOOOOM. Hi there. You mention your brother will be doing instructorly instructoring instructary classes at the Las Vegas Autodesk show. Does he have a TH-cam channel? I'd like to follow him if he's half as fun as you are. I bet he's only one fourth as fun as you, but that's still within my constraints allowance.

+Royce Barber haha thanks man. I think he recently started a channel but it's not a CAD channel, something to do with cooking I think, but it remains to be seen if he'll stick with it! No idea what the name of it is but if I find out and think he's taking it seriously, I'll give it a shout out in a future video!

If your brother could bend the laws of physics just enough to turn your videos into edible snacks, preferably sugar-free, I'd nibble on that food all day long!
