this is a wonderful analysis of the Doha Metro, as Qatari studying Civil Engineering interested in public transit works, this was very insightful to hear. Very recently the Ministry of Transport has announced a 2050 plan for new lines and extensions, along with the introduction of new means of transit like the water taxi. I have some PDFs from the source if you'd like to look into it a bit more.
