Just perfomed this upgrade on my own Q4 RAF. you dont need the VCC unless you want to get the LED's to work. i simply took the led cable bundle out, and connected three of the buttons to start/select/guide screwdown, and used the L3/R3/touchpad cable from focus attack for 3 extra buttons i put on the back.

Do you need a daughter board?

Is this suppose to just be a board to add on to play other systems? The reason i ask is because I just bought the board to use mainly as a ps4 board with the same preset wiring you have. they had a sale with pre-solder header so i decided to snag this one. i figured you can just plug and play but without connecting any of the blue header. but as i see in your video you have done that.

The main purpose of this board is a replacement for whatever PCB you currently have so that you can play on PS4/3/360/X1/Switch. It's not so much plug and play as you want, the header just makes it EXTREMELY easy for connections
