WTF? Mario Party 8 was hella fun! My friends and I played it a lot back then. We especially liked the City board because there was more strategy and skill involved. And I actually very much enjoy Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash. But I do agree with the fact that it is terrible that there is a lack of tournament or career mode like in previous games. Also, a lack of characters.

David G And it's still just an opinion that 8 is bad. My friends played that game with me the most. I honestly enjoyed Mario Party 3 the most, but I wasn't as sociable as a kid so I played it by myself mostly. I was about 12 years old when Mario Party 3 came out and 19 years old when Mario Party 8 came out and I already had my group of friends I grew up with.

It's not like you were in the mushroom kingdom. It's about as much of a spin off as tekken is to street fighter because gile looks like paul phoenix
It actually is a spin-off. There's even an SNES sequel and Mario and other well-known characters appear on it.
Some of these aren't bad at all, Yoshi was fun and Mario Party 8 is pretty fun with a few people, there are game that deserve to be on this list more than some of these

I had Game Gallery growing up. I liked it, it had an odd bit of charm to it. Plus it was fun to make fun of the voice acting and how awkward it could get at times.

We had it on a special computer at the time back in 95 or 96 in my 4rd grade class. The things Mario said are dreadful by today standards but as a kid, would repeat the "go fish" line everywhere as people stared at you not knowing the reference

You realize that Wrecking Crew came out before Super Mario Bros, right? Until that point, Mario's "lively" atmosphere pretty much consisted of Donkey Kong and Mario Bros. (the Arcade game). And compared to them, Wrecking Crew actually offers much, much more both in gameplay variety and the number of levels.

Figured it would be on here but Mario's time machine was awesome confusing at first(got it 2nd hand so no booklet) but once you got a hang of it, it was really fun and arguably taught me more than school ever did. Remember this was b4 the Internet was widely available so me and the fam actually had to browse through encyclopedias. It really was a great game.

I agree in some ways. The Mini Star/Ztars took away a lot of the essential gameplay and the players aren't allowed to move at free will because they're all together in a car. But Mario Party 10 was even more disappointing.
