The impossible coin in Mario 64 has been updated. That underwater coin in Tiny Huge Island is result of a designer's mistake: the rows of coins in that game are always a row of five, except for one in that very stage, that have 4 because one is inside the floor due to a design failure. But since it's already found out how to take it, it's not impossible anymore. Pankoek 2012 however tells us about another impossible coin: in the last stage, Bowser in the Sky, goombas appear in a triangle formation, but again due to a designer's mistake, one of the 3 goombas in the triangle spawns out of the platform, causing it to fall before Mario reaches them, and then impossible to kill. Goombas always spare a coin when killed, so, being impossible to kill this goomba, so is taking it's coin.
Just an addendum to #2. Yoshi boosts Mario’s triple jump by making you immune to fall damage. You can jump from any height with the “sparkly” third jump and take no fall damage.
What would’ve made this video even more popular is if they had honorable nominees like the UFO in Super Mario 3D Land, or the Hell Valley aliens in Super Mario Galaxy.
In the leak of Nintendo game files, people finally found evidence that Luigi was supposed to be in Mario 64, but got cut when the game lost multiplayer functionality. There is even a render of him compiled from the data (though the life counter is still Mario’s face.)
Mario Odyssey is so dense with secrets, it’s ridiculous. It’s like someone looked at all the best secrets and outside-the-box design choices in the series and constructed an entire game primarily around just that facet of the series. But for my money, breaking the blocks in the ceiling and walking over the entire level of 1-2 in the original SMB, and THEN to discover a warp zone past the exit pipe, will always be a thing of magic to me. That blew my mind when I was a kid, and the series is full of stuff like that. Jumping past the flag pole, all the subversive stuff in Lost Levels, walking in the background of a level after falling behind the white block in Mario 3, Yoshi on the castle roof in SM64, hidden worlds in multiple games, post-game stuff like unlocking Luigi in Galaxy, or the ridiculous amount of extra content in Odyssey, etc. You could honestly do a Top 50 Secrets in Mario Games list, easily.
3:49 The Mushroom Kingdom’s most unsung hero was finally given his due in 2013... WRONG!!! It was 2001-with the debut of the GameCube and the 1st Luigi’s Mansion game-when the Bro formerly known as the Eternal Understudy finally got the spotlight all to himself!
I haven't played a "Mario" game in years (or any game for that matter) but I still love watching these videos! I dont know why, but easter eggs, and secrets still intrigue me! Thanks for the video! Appreciate ya..
I Had forgotten about the first time I got to the Autumn Overworld. I was very (VERY) young, and I thought something had glitched my game, I started crying because I didn't know how to fix it. Ah, the nostalgia.
No Super Mario 3?!?! The flutes are the most popular secret known to Mario gamers everywhere. Also, there’s a difference between secrets and Easter eggs...
I've heard about the minus world. Also in the same game there's a secret there as well where you can skip the worlds by passing that moving platform area so instead of going through the end pipe you would jump over, walk above the screen and then there's a room with three pipes each one takes you to a different world. You can practically skip to world 8 with that. That should have been on the list. All the others I didn't know.
Yes I got the minus world before it were made public in super Mario bros And did u know there are 7 hidden floor in the sky of super Mario run at starting point of super Mario run and in white shirt and in gaint form and After completing 7th floor u get straight to the ending level It’s awesome and hard 😎😎...
Original super Mario bros skip worlds via pipes especially in world 1-2 super Mario world star road skip hard levels to beat the game faster or continue your journey the regular way
No, Daisy is the Princess you rescue in Super Mario Land. It’s just that she appears in the spin-off games associated with Luigi even though Luigi wasn’t even in SML!

You forgot the secret swastike room in Super Mario World
Arknights global is not available for South America? Its not in Apple store for Chile....
It’s not just a globe it’s so much more

I love Nintendo for these Easter eggs in their games. Goes to show how much time and effort there put in their games. ❤️

My favorite secrets in Mario games is Star Road and the special levels from Super Mario World (SNES).
Watchmojo is my favourite TH-cam channel and the first TH-cam channel I ever watched
I always loved Mario games. But these secrets make me say: let’s-a-play some more
I love how innocent this comment is
I wish they would remaster mario 64, one of the best games of all time. So innovative and advanced for its time
Los Be Beast there a rumor that there going to remaster all the 3D Mario Games so you might get your wish
I love how these are so popular that i don’t consider them secrets
I like more the ones less popular but very intriguing like Super mario galaxy 2 Sky trees.
Hell Valley Sky Trees
It’s a me, Mario!
Fun fact: the giant Luigi at 4:26 is the only 16-bit Luigi in the game
What would’ve made this video even more popular is if they had honorable nominees like the UFO in Super Mario 3D Land, or the Hell Valley aliens in Super Mario Galaxy.
Would love to see more of those!

The Mushroom Kingdom’s most unsung hero was finally given his due in 2013...
WRONG!!!
It was 2001-with the debut of the GameCube and the 1st Luigi’s Mansion game-when the Bro formerly known as the Eternal Understudy finally got the spotlight all to himself!

The biggest secret, all the Yoshi dead bodies!
This is a certified hood classic.

I wouldn't consider the minus world as a hidden secret since it implies it's an intentional secret, but it isn't. It's merely a glitch
Love this!
I just saw it pop up never gets old. I love the Mario games who doesn't. I'm ready to be amazed again.
Mario was one of the first video games that I played when I was a kid. I can't remember if I saw some of these hidden secrets or not.

VS. Super Mario Bros. also has a different Minus World altogether. (it's a looping underwater bonus area)
I've heard about the minus world. Also in the same game there's a secret there as well where you can skip the worlds by passing that moving platform area so instead of going through the end pipe you would jump over, walk above the screen and then there's a room with three pipes each one takes you to a different world. This video was actually fun
How was the flute in Super Mario Bros 3 not mentioned? I'll never forget the day I stumbled upon it by complete accident as a little kid.
nice vid guys!
2:25 This explains the many fan theories that Mario hates Luigi. Luigi stole Daisy from him.
Pretty sure you can see Yoshi during the credits sequence if you collect all 120 stars before the final boss battle
I'm a hugh Mario fan. This video is really nice!
Yoshi...can't you like super jump or something? Why are you still on top of the castle?!
These references are awesome
i'm pretty sure i've seen this list before from you guys

Where's the Canadian college dude that used to narrate this channel's game videos?

Aww man they forgot about the top secret area in super Mario world after you beat the big ghost in one of the haunted houses
This is going to date me, but I remember getting to the minus world by accident, by flubbing a Game Genie code when I was putting in a cheat.

I love Mario. Do you know who loves Mario more? Seokjin from BTS and he also loves RJ too. 💜☺️
For #10 I did not know that was a secret but I have did that
i've been in that minus world in SMB. But it's kinda useless and probably just a glitch.
So for Super Mario Bros the original nobody ever puts how to get infinite lives on there? Am I the only one that know of this?
I thought it was going to be that Luigi was on the 64 version

Daisy? Wasn't his Princess Toadstool (Peach) while Luigi's was Daisy?
No, Daisy is the Princess you rescue in Super Mario Land. It’s just that she appears in the spin-off games associated with Luigi even though Luigi wasn’t even in SML!
