Land Rover Defender Soundproofing The Bulkhead and Repairing Water leaks

So on removal of the dash i found i had rainwater still getting in, turns out it was an easy repair.
Also while the bulkhead is beard abit of left out sound proofing wont go a miss. Heres a little guide on how to fit it yourself.

Something you might want to check.. the screws that hold the floor panels down. My 2011 puma had every screw running down the side of the square nylon insert rather than through the middle of it, hence the bulkhead and sills would have rusted as the screws stripped the paint/galv from them. Just a thought while you have the carpets out?

Did you soundproof the rest of the cab?

I sound proofed and carpeted the rear before i started the youtube channel. I have got to do the seat box and roof yet

@@lifes.projects ah ok..... I'm putting Dynamat in the rear part of my TD5 DC today, just wondering how someone else tackled the job..... I don't think I will go over any of the joins just in case it ever needs to come apart again (unlikely in my ownership) that Dynamat is a bitch to remove! 😂 😂

Did you download the Decibal reader App and go for a drive to get a ‘before’ reading? That will have tested the difference over the same track/road or whatever. 👍🏻🙏🦘

Unfortunately not. The Clutch spring failed so i stripped it down to replace it but then got carried away and here we are doing all this work 🤣
