Lubed is definitely better but these are surprisingly ok stock? much better than stock blacks which is odd since these are just blacks with a different top housing right? that shouldn't make that big of a difference.
Could you review the Sarokeys Strawberry Wine switch? Its very popular in sea because of the clean long pole clack and a smooth factory lube. They are manufactured by Bsun and are sold in lots of asian vendors but divinikey also has them. (Not sure about uk/europe vendors)
I'm planning to build my second board (a full alu board) and it will be my first alu board. I'm looking for a switch that has a good clack 'cause I'm going for a clacky build. Is there any other options than creams, zaku, durock pom, and mx hyperglides?
I think a long pole linear would be nice for that ‘clack’ people like (clean higher pitched sound). So Zaku or Durock Pom li ears you mentioned would be great
Compared to alot of my other modern switches I’ve tried recently, these (because they are Cherry), would benefit a bit yeah - but it’s so minor and so much effort, I’d only do it if you also plan to lube them

I think they are using a refreshed mould (not 100% sure on that tho), and the springs are prelubed (if you buy them like that).
Yeah I was really surprised, I could still tell they were Cherry, but much of an improvement
Yeah the springs were dry, but spring ping doesn’t always get picked up my the mic to be honest, it gets lost in the other sounds
