They had these at my firearms qualifications class held by a local police department near me. The instructor could speak clearly into my ears while gunfire was going off. It was great.

That was my issue when taken firearms classes on the range, no-one could clearly hear the range officers instructions!! This headset seems awesome!!

If anyone is worrying about the mic snapping, they fixed the issue. I just ordered my friend and I a pair and they made a better piece for the mic so it wont break when you bend it.
Now they need to make one that you can attach a PTT to it. That way I dont have to spend $600+ on Peltors or Ops Core Amps. Ballin on a budget over here
You can switch it to push to talk, if you watched the video they show that. Front = Voice activated. Back = PTT

These are like $50.... there's a reason CommTac is $300 used lol
Just what I was looking for, I did not want to break the bank for expensive earpro with communications ability if I did not absolutely need it, and this is a perfect alternative.

Got mine for $30 today the walkie is another $30 I think so over all I feel like it's a good price for the setup
I use these for off-roading they work great and I can communicate with everyone else’s handheld radios they have. When I have to get out of the RZR or the Jeep and help someone else climb a mountain it’s very helpful to be able to talk to them inside their vehicle on their radio. LOVE these things!! And yes I use them at the gun range.
Love the walkers, have these for the whole family. So far we only have two of the radio's. My only complaint is on the hands free setting they pick up to much noise even on the high settings. Mainly the wind. We were able to get abkut 500 to 600 yards in hills and trees, which is normal for these type of radios. Line of sight I'm sure you could get further.
Reminds me of the hearing protection and speaker mic combo from david and clark for Motorola radios used in the oilfield.
Just got my pair turns out it's the older version with the old boom mic that does not work unless you yell into it so make sure you get the new revised version like these guys have.

How can you tell the difference between the old and the updated versions???
Did you voice over the end of transmission beeps? I ordered a few of these for the beep function and none of them beep. There is a faint click that would be hard to hear out in the field.
does the walkie talkie audio only come on the left side? Im deaf in my left ear unfortunately so I hope not

I was seriously thinking of purchasing a couple pair of these. After reading the reviews I think I've decided to stay clear of these. Several reviews stated that the microphone at the base would break with with gentle use. Many others claim that when they received the radio that it was already broken at the base.
Mike McGowen they fixed that issue. The new ones are reinforced at the base. Got my mine off amazon and they are the updated ones no issues so far.
Would this work with the Xcel non bt version?

Question for the people in the comments. I wanted to pick some of these up for use with a sawmill. When the mill is going you can't hear a word anyone is saying. Was wondering if anyone tried these in a constantly loud environment and was able to hear one another.

These look amazing, but wouldn't work for me. I already have huge problems aiming a rifle with headphones on, and I'm a leftie shooter, which is the same side the walkie talkie goes on

Depends; If you're using a Fast Helmet, then yes, they'll work just fine.

Welp, where the Walker's Razors will fit under an ECH, I doubt they'll fit with the radio attachment.
sweet video, how much do thease cost and my question is how do you sync up the radio audio with the camara? ive always wanted to do that but nobody has videos on that so, my plan is to get some and to shoot videos while shooting how do you sync the audio from the radio to the camara?
They more than likely have another radio or some time of receiver running on the same channel and then recorded the audio from that device.

how do these work? me and my brother each had ours on an set to the same channel but we could not speak into them and hear each other you didn't really show how to activate auto or hands free talking.
can you use this with other radioes like Baofeng?
You can, but there's no point. The Razor has the audio-in jack...just run a shoulder-mounted mic with a 3-foot aux cord, and you can use your Baofeng to transmit.

These use FRS band. Any walkie talkie with FRS can communicate with them.

Just so y’all know these aren’t 23db of protection, they’re level 23 (out of 30) to find the decibel protection you have to subtract 7 and devide by 2, these are 8 decibels of noice reduction but since decibels are an exponential system 8 is plenty.

I'm in the wrong line of work.
The cheap Walker muffs suck. A lot. They are not directional.
The more expensive digital pair actually have some directionality to them.
The cheap crappy analog ones have a dial that turns to an end point to turn off. The better digital pair have a push button that you hold to turn on or off.
They last about 45 minutes in a conversation. 12 hours is receive only.
My mic doesn't reach that far and so the Voice Activated Feature doesn't work effectively.
The only problem is the bit at allll times is a problem
