Thank you for this video. Iv got a 1996 evolution road king motor I want to do just what you are showing here I want to put on my S&S B carburetor . I still need to get a swing arm for the frame and the wiring harness I most likely will find some of that at the next swap meet I go to
You're Welcome. Good luck with the project. We are parting out a few bikes like that. Check out our eBay store if you don't have any luck at the swap meet
Great video. I have a question. I see some videos where people are using an namz harness. Did you use one? If you use the cam chest ignition, do you just wire it straight to the coil? thanks
@@GattisGarage thank you so much. I ordered everything I was missing this weekend then. Haha. My MM crapped out on my this weekend. I got a single fire coil to go with the ignition as well. Thanks for the info.
Is the ignition swap necessary or optional. I just picked up a 98 FLHTI that has been swapped from EFI to CV carb but still has the OEM ignition pickup like the one you tossed in the video. Good video. Thanks
I have never done it that way. It's possible they swapped it over to the stock style Carb ignition which uses a similar pickup to the EFI unit. I can't imagine them running the ignition from the EFI ecu with a carb but they may have figured out a way
EVO's FOREVER
John Thanks for all your help with the conversion. It was super easy man fantastic. 1996 FlHTCU no more I.
Awesome. Glad it worked out well for you.
Digging the new intro
Awesome. Thanks. Apparently shorter is better... Time will tell
Thanks!

The namz harness is really for the twin cam the cone ignition goes right to the coil yes

My Marelli system runs great! It's stock, never messed with it.
That's good. But most don't
I'm getting 48mpg with the MM system, but back firing on deceleration what gives?
I have a 98 ultra classic what parts do I need to convert it to carb

i have 2 bikes to do this to. i was going to use CV but im starting to highly consider the mikuni .where did you get that carb and bracket from?
I get them from my wholesaler
Whats the part number for that carb bracket?
Im up in Stuart my efi evo roadking has been acting up. How much would u charge to convert this for me?
What year is your bike?
@@GattisGarage 98, its the 95th anniversary road king classic efi evo,,,,,flhrci
Can you wire a VOES switch with this ignition
Most of the Evo ignitions you can if you choose
Alright cool , did you use Dynatek 500? We’re doin this to a buddy’s bike in a few weeks should be fun. The MM runs
Like shit!
Will a .5ohm coil work with those ignitions?
It depends on what ignition you choose they are all different
But s 1005 isn't compatible with that coil.
Which Mikuni and why? I'm still a CV guy.
42 HSR. I'm just a big fan of the function and performance of them. CV carb would work fine as well as an S&S
@@GattisGarage thanks for the info.
Great video. What is the approximate cost for all the parts needed for this conversion?
There are several variables that can go into this kit. Can probably do it as cheap as $700 up to about $1400 depending on components chosen
Thank you.
