Just a suggestion. I would get the rear fender liners. Not only protect the fender side of the bed but also cover up the white part that shows inside the wheel wells. Cleaner look and easier to keep wheel wells clean.
@@crf4502 Ford has them but I think that they are optional on all of their trucks. They were listed as an option on my F150 King Ranch. Well worth it though if you ask me.
Huskyliner X-act contour floor mats are so much better than the Weathertechs... Ive had mine since Aug '17 in my superduty and they still look new. The Weathertechs dont keep their shape and start folding in, allowing dirt to get under them.
I'm just glad I watch your channel regularly! I almost bought a Lariat F-250 Tremor thinking the headlights were the same from XL-Limited. Thanks for saving me the pain of making a mistake! Now, I have a Platinum and 🤟it!!!
In a word, JD, gorgeous! What a beautiful setup. Don't believe I've ever seen anything y'all featured being dirty or "in need of a bath"! Safe travels sir. Giddy up.
Nice review on WT products. I also install WT mud flaps but weren't low enough to protect my camper. Switch over to Duraflaps standard length. Their approximately 71/2" from the ground before i hook my DRV which is 4k pin weight, turns out just right.
You got to admit, that truck’s black B-Pillar spiffs up the truck profile a heck of a lot. Weathertech makes a great product. For me, though, wet Florida summers + manual transmission + cowboy boots with a roper heel and my feet slip on them.
@@BTBRVReviews- good to know, I have the old standard coverage WT floor mats in my Super Duty, but it’s almost time for a new set. I may have to switch to this style, and yes I’m always in boots too. 🤠
The rear visors always seem to fly off when rolling down the road with the window fully down. To their credit they replace it under warranty, but it sucks having to go through the process. Every one of them eventually let loose. Been using them in my ‘03 Excursion, ‘04 F350, and ‘19 Ioniq. Every one of the rears flew off.
I’m pretty sure I saw online that the new version of the WeatherTech like the ones you have there if you flip them over there’s marks to cut out for the sill plate.. they just leave it full just in case you have one of the lower models that don’t have the vanity plate in the door frame
Have had Weather Tech mats in my 2017 F350 since it was new. Getting ready to get a new F350 and they will go into my new truck. That is how well they last.
The WT door visors / shades... Always used them for a clean look. So dislike the body stick-on type. Super nice way to vent windows on Hot Days and no one sees cracked windows. I had Tint World apply their best ceramic UV tint... Also Windshield low tint practicaly clear but high UV filter. Very good UV, reduces interior temps and felt heat on skin and greatly lowers Night Glare! Anyway, the point is... They wanted me to remove Ft Shades for a week for curing. So if Ceramic UV tinting, may want to do before WT Shades. The F450 was the first one that reacted on the Autodown... Very Sensitive. Even once working nicely the day of install, they later repeated the problem often on cooler mornings. Removed shades, rotory and 800 grit, 1200, and 2000... Then compount A3 polish. On the inside edge that contacts the glass, slightly taking it down a bit to flaten the surface... Not even out of box and needed to be smoothed up. Now works correctly all the time. No matter the temp... So far, Winter not here yet!
Hey JD, I hope you're having a great day! Those window vents look really good. Can you let us know if I it makes a whistling noise when the windows are up an you're going down the road please. I know in the past when I have used window vents and the windows were up they would let air in and make a noise. They are nice because like you said you can leave your windows down a inch to two inches so the heat can escape when you're at a store or whatever an rain can't get in your truck or car! Those floor mats look great an I like the weathertech mats because they are made to fit your truck or car to the t. Those rear mud flaps look great thank you for taking us on the journey of making modifications to your new truck. Your number one fan and friend Leonard from North Carolina.
I understand why you went with WeatherTech for the floor mats, but you should’ve given tuxmat a chance even if you had to pay for them they are a night and day difference in quality and would complement the platinum interior even nicer.
Love the new truck! Hard to tell from the video but it looks like your passenger front door has the same issue my 2023 F350 had where the top of the door when closed is not even with the front of the back door and sticks out a little bit only at the top. On my truck, it was the driver door, and i took it back to the dealer to have the door realigned, and it is fine now. It's a very small detail, but with the price of these trucks, i wanted it corrected. Other than that and a couple of other small things, i love the truck and do like it better in every way than my 2017 I had. I went with a steelcraft front bumper replacement on my new 23 and was actually able to pick it up from their shipping wharehouse here in San Antonio and I love it, looks great on the new front end of these trucks. Can't wait to see what else you have in store with the new truck and future towing videos!
I've had WT side window deflectors on my trucks for years. However, it appears that they tried to minimize the different styles by adding clips, etc. They are awful! The windows pop back down and two clips have fallen out. Never again!
I've heard that the newer powerstrokes (specifically 2023+ models) that they use much more DEF? Have you noticed any difference between your earlier model versus this new one? Very interested because I currently have a 2018 f250 and I use maybe half a tank of DEF per month or so.
I'm concerned about that as well. My truck showed that I had 500m of Def remaining after 1300 miles of driving. That's insane! However, when I filled up, it only took 2.8gals.
Looking at it from the side I'd say it need some wheel arch covers they look very plain Surprised it doesn't come from the factory with any given it is a platinum edition
It is very sad that such a nice truck with a hefty price tag requires all of these “add ons” to make it nice. One would think the car manufacturers would catch on to this and offer these products on their new vehicles. Owners also end up with substandard “old” parts that have been replaced. What do you do with these? Sell them?
1. With the vehicle's engine running and the window fully raised, proceed to the switch and maintain the upward position for a duration of two seconds. 2. After the window has been lowered, depress the switch for a period of two seconds. Following the completion of this action, hold the switch in the upward position for an additional two seconds. 3. Subsequently, raise the window once again and continue to hold the switch for an additional two-second interval. 4. At this point, proceed to test the functionality of the power window system. Upon successful completion of the aforementioned steps, the power window initialization process will have been successfully completed, thereby resetting the windows reset module at no cost.
Unless they’ve changed their material, the WeatherTech mats always got too slippery when they got wet for me, I’ve switched to husky. Did you ever have any issues with the vent visors not letting your windows close? Are you aware that you can use the single rear wheel well liners on your dually to protect the inside of your rear wheel Wells paint?
I have the same Weather Tech window deflectors - the front driver's side failed on me after some years with the plastic breaking resulting in the whole deflector falling out when I would try to put the window down. Fortunately it happened while I was standing in the drive thru and not while going 80MPH on the freeway. Long story short WT FAILED to replace it!!! I had to buy a complete front set with the passenger side piece that now sits unused in its box. So much for that lifetime warranty 🤣 SHAME ON YOU WEATHER TECH FOR NOT SUPPORTING YOUR PAYING CUSTOMERS 👎👎

Get the husky wheel liners. They also make floor mats.
Finally installed my floor liners today. If you don’t like the front ones covering the platinum badge, it has a cutout line underneath them. 👍🏼

Hmmm....I wonder if that "programming" trick for the auto windows and in channel vent shades works on a '15 Silverado....?
Not sure honestly
