I got four kids, two dogs, and a cat and my wife and I were about to sell our house and start this life. So thank you for uploading these type of videos. Very helpful. She’s a traveling nurse and we want to be together now
I really like the integrated bed scale, it's great information to have 'before' you hit the road. The rear pinstripe is cool and all but I prefer a cleaner, uninterrupted look on the rear flare.
The technology and ability to have a trailer library is just awesome. Get your preferences set, the light test is great (especially if you are working solo). Having the odometer is great-can help give a real world estimate of how far the trailer has travelled and when maintenance is needed.
Very nice truck! One of the big upgrades we did for our F-350 SRW was to change the OEM fuel tank with a nearly 70-gallon tank. It fits in the same space as the OEM tank. We also installed an air compressor inside the frame, located under the right passenger seat. We pull a 38 ft 5er.
JD sharp looking rig with the trailer. I like the pin strip on both front and back, I own a 2022 450Larit and that was before the bed scale. Nice to see the up dates the new trucks!!!
Nice setup, and I really like the bed scale. I was skeptical about the bed scale when I first heard about it, but not anymore. I have a combo 45 gal fuel tank/tool box in my 22 F450, and with 3k-3.2k pin weight I'm around the same rear axle weight as you are. Thanks for showing everything.
1) Interesting video. 2) That auto light check feature is a neat feature. Sure beats walking back and forth from front to rear checking each taillight and turn signal. 2) Keep the pinstripes.
When I was a kid, we would go camping with my grandparents every summer for a month. They were pulling out of my parents driveway and had left the steps to the 5th wheel out. My parents had an old stump next to the driveway. Let's just say that the stump was removed and the stairs were mangled.
I had a goosebox and with as much as I tow it was a deletion. Glad to see the new truck working for you. Strongly debating doing a truck upgrafe shortly.
I have the exact same setup. I use a magnetic telescope ball. I stick it to the back edge of the goose ball plate and back up to the “S” on the REESE 20K emblem and as soon as it starts to bend forward stop the truck. Just eyeball it out the back window. You’ll be right on target.
The Ford Pass app used to have the trailer light check built in. Incredibly useful and convenient. Ford took that away, but hasn't implemented the trailer light check on the head unit for F150 owners yet.
I have 24 350 dually lariat I like how it will keep track of Miles for each trailer you add helps keep track of trailer maintenance beautiful truck and rv combo I went with black truck and have a momentum toy hauler so the black and white looks nice with black truck
Mattress Insider 9" memory foam, weighs about 1/2 what you have and it's really comfortable. We've had it for 6 years now and it's better than our Tempurpedic at home.
Nice looking truck and trailer. 11:46. Things I’ve learned on my 24 F350 platinum- That is a whole truck scale, not just a bed scale. The 150 is just an average driver weight ford puts in there that can be changed (not sure where they get that from, I’m way over😂). Above the payload number up there, if you tap the 3 bars, you can change it to an actual scale if you need to and it is surprisingly accurate. Hopefully that helps you with that feature.
I think it's really cool to tow these huge trailers, real houses on wheels, and it's even cooler that your government encourages caravanning and its roads and streets are well structured to receive them, here in Brazil it's the opposite, most cities don't allow it. At your entrance, most campsites cannot support a trailer of this size, and the Winnebago and Jayco are often sold here but only in small sizes, entering urban centers with a trailer of this size is an impossible task, narrow streets and signage downtown we are trying to change the laws to encourage caravanning here, I hope that in the future it will be different, hugs
I’m a big steel body guy so I like those definite fenders so I like both the black pinstripes on both the front and rear. Give it that more robust look in my opinion
Look at Helix mattresses... I have a bad back and I sleep like a dead man on this mattress. All done online, great return program... you won't be disappointed.
Nice looking set up. The in-bed scale is great, but in all reality, unless you tow a lot of different trailers, it only comes in handy for the first few tows if your trailer or set up hardly changes. But, more info is always better. Thanks for sharing.
I recently replaced m 2018 F250 Lariat with a 2024 F350 Lariat to haul my Alliance Paradigm 310RL. There is a CAT scale near me so taking it in initially to get weights wasn't that big a hassle. The in-bed scale is convenient but not a necessity in my opinion. Once my trailer was setup (i.e. loaded with the usual day to day stuff) I don't expect the weight to change significantly between trips.
Believe me I'm not rv person, don't even own one. Your video just popped up and suggested I purchased a new 2023 F450 although it's just an XLT not the fancy platinum carrying capacity is 5135 on it I pull a triple axle deuce neck triple tandem with a John Deere 700 dozer. I have the tongue indicator built on the trailer and routinely have 8 to 10,000 pounds on the tongue handles it like a champ But then again most of my travels are within 50 miles of my homebase not like an RV going across the United States Also sure like the looks of that truck I bet it looks sharp going down the road
How about an air mattress, technology has to be pretty good in that area these days and they have to be better and that would light. Or a water bed and just fill it up when you get to your spot 😂
I always leave power plugged in until the trailer is on the truck. It seems to help with voltage to the box for the jacks. I’ve had low voltage issues with the system since it was new.
I have the GooseBox as well but my Shrader valve is on the underside. I got a valve extender kit and now I have it mounted to the side of the GooseBox.
Hey JD, I hope you're having a great day! I really like everything that your new F450 gives you and all the different things that you can do when you hitch up your fifth wheel. The scale that you have in the bed of your truck is great an the check list that you have on the infotainment screen is spot on . I figured the back end of your truck would have been Squatted alittle bit but you can't even tell that you have weight in the bed of your truck. Have a super great trip and be safe my friend! Happy 4TH of JULY JD!!!! Your number one fan an friend Leonard from North Carolina.
The bed scale seems kinda gimmicky seeing it doesn't actually give you any values. I also don't like the pin stripe in either location. Why didn't they make the mirror position programmable and assigned to the trailer profile. Just my opinion so treat it like any other youtube comment from a nobody that matters 😊
first thing I noticed when I dropped my gate, was that camera really doesn't help for trailering. Like you said the perspective is a bit off to use in close proximity. I also had a hard time just backing up across the yard using the top gate camera, vs the normal tailgate camera, definitely learning curve.
So if you actual pin weight is 3600lbs and the top of scale on that in cab display is 4941 lbs it’s waaaaay off. You should be roughly 3/4 of the maximum load but that gauge looks more like 90%. If the tech isn’t accurate it isn’t going to be useful. On the plus side it looks great and I love that it didn’t seem to squat at all. I’ll bet it’s a dream to tow.
You need to do something else with the ninja what happens when you have a emergency stop? It goes someplace..you might think it'll never move but when you slam hard on the brakes it probably will go into something..
There’s a scale mode you can see in the scale app. It gives you an actual number if I remember right. It will be a range for the exact number. You’ll find this mode in the settings menu at the top.
RV on a diet, classic - generator is permanent, washer and dryer-she says No. change bed, 6 years left on warranty. Your rv is very similar to our KZ MB382MBQ.
I think the bed scale is smart. To wiegh at a scale station that means towing it there, then if its too heavy you still have to tow it home to unpack some. Thats dangerous and damages your vehicle and rig. Know before you tow!❤❤❤❤❤
If you took the 5” offset ball out it would show less weight on the truck scale. Looks like you have plenty of room to tow the trailer with the factory gooseneck ball location & 8’ bed
I learned a long time ago... If the wife thinks it looks good and it doesn't bother you... Leave it. 😂
I learnt a long time ago.... if wife gets any ideas around you, change wife asap
I got four kids, two dogs, and a cat and my wife and I were about to sell our house and start this life. So thank you for uploading these type of videos. Very helpful. She’s a traveling nurse and we want to be together now
My wife is the same. Just bought camper and are hitting the road this month for full time.
I really like the integrated bed scale, it's great information to have 'before' you hit the road. The rear pinstripe is cool and all but I prefer a cleaner, uninterrupted look on the rear flare.
Well I guess you need to take out the coffee maker? LOL! Sacrafices must be made.
The technology and ability to have a trailer library is just awesome. Get your preferences set, the light test is great (especially if you are working solo). Having the odometer is great-can help give a real world estimate of how far the trailer has travelled and when maintenance is needed.
I hit the disable rear sensors button above your screen when I back up to my hitch. That truck is sweet.
That new truck looks so good and I'm sure it will perform flawlessly
I'd keep BOTH pin stripes . . they make it look more "uniform", like it was factory installed - a real nice detail.
Brooklyn Bedding, Baby. Mine weighs 50 lbs. and it is wonderful ‼️
JD sharp looking rig with the trailer. I like the pin strip on both front and back, I own a 2022 450Larit and that was before the bed scale. Nice to see the up dates the new trucks!!!
Wow! That whole set up looks absolutely beautiful !!!! Better then before because the truck matches the trailer.
Love the way the white truck looks with the Brookstone!
Beautiful rig, enjoy!
Brooklyn Bedding. Great mattresses
Beautiful combination! Congratulations!
Great technology and thank you so much for sharing. 😎👍
1) Interesting video.
2) That auto light check feature is a neat feature. Sure beats walking back and forth from front to rear checking each taillight and turn signal.
2) Keep the pinstripes.
It’s hard to believe that trailer weighs that much… I was expecting right at 3k, great video and demonstration!
3k? My 2024 20’ is over 3600lb dry I have one of the smallest campers made Jeep pulls it with ease
super helpful. thankyou. post more vids of that setup!

It all looks great 👍

That 5.0 or whatever update ruined the app. I got the APK for an older version, works great.
I bought the angle adapter for my Reese goosebox based on your recommendation, game changer. So much easier.
I have 24 350 dually lariat I like how it will keep track of Miles for each trailer you add helps keep track of trailer maintenance beautiful truck and rv combo I went with black truck and have a momentum toy hauler so the black and white looks nice with black truck
Man that is a awesome setup I love it, can't wait to hear how she tow.😊

That totally does. I'm learning something new everyday. Thank you
Sharp looking setup! Nice looking truck. Stripes add some definition!
Nice to see how the new stuff works
Nice rig. I have a F-350 XLT that I tow our Durango with, I"m impressed with the features on yours.
Love the truck and the stripes are a nice add on!!
Excellent! Looks great! Can’t wait to see how she pulls!
This set up looks a whole lot better than the red truck. Just my opinion! Looks cleaner.
Honestly, its a beautiful setup. Hard to believe from the beginning you're going full circle.
I think it's really cool to tow these huge trailers, real houses on wheels, and it's even cooler that your government encourages caravanning and its roads and streets are well structured to receive them, here in Brazil it's the opposite, most cities don't allow it. That is a great truck. Nice features for sure.
Man that’s a beautiful truck
Sharp look. My 2023 doesn’t have the bed scale. That’s good info to have. Enjoy your trip!
Accent line makes the fender flairs look bolt on.. I like :)
Nice truck great video. We leave a quarter of fresh watervin tanks it takes around 480 pounds of 5thwheel.
Looks really sharp. Good choice of colour of truck
I’m a big steel body guy so I like those definite fenders so I like both the black pinstripes on both the front and rear. Give it that more robust look in my opinion
It looks amazing together!
Amazing truck! Beautiful spec
Look at Helix mattresses... I have a bad back and I sleep like a dead man on this mattress. All done online, great return program... you won't be disappointed.
We are getting out of Texas in a week to head up to the mountains too. Texas heat is getting worse the older I get. LOL
Good looking truck/fifth wheel setup. I'm looking forward to your video on the driving experience with the new truck versus your old truck.
Gorgeous truck. I am definitely envious !
Great Video Always Learning Something New Thank You 🙏

That is a sweet rig. Congrats!

A lot of goodies 😊
I think the rear fender pinstripe compliments the front pinstripe 👍
Looking Good!!!
Great looking rig... pinstripe looks good...could always find a grafix detailer and get some matching grafix for the truck to the coach...😊
Nice features. If HR says it good leave the stirpes on the back :)
Truck color would be beautiful in BLACK/GREY
Looks great.
I have the GooseBox as well but my Shrader valve is on the underside. I got a valve extender kit and now I have it mounted to the side of the GooseBox.

Great looking rig
Beautiful Rig!
My 22 F350 XLY CC LB 4x4 7.3L fully loaded has a payload of 4497 so i can definitely tow this

Good looking set up..been thinking about going to new hitch..
Lots of technology to go wrong with checklists and automatically checking lights when you can do the light checks with a 2nd person.
Happy wife, happy wife. Don't mess with it
Looks amazing
Beautiful

inspiring and informative
How is your gas mileage with the High Output motor 65, 70 mph on flat surface?

Interesting , Thank Yu
Nice setup
Just my opinion. I think the pin stripe on the rear makes it look like the fender flair is an add on rather than factory.
There’s a scale mode you can see in the scale app. It gives you an actual number if I remember right. It will be a range for the exact number. You’ll find this mode in the settings menu at the top.
Hey jd, most of us Americans are trying to get rid of that extra weight out front. Lol
Looks Good
RV on a diet, classic - generator is permanent, washer and dryer-she says No. change bed, 6 years left on warranty. Your rv is very similar to our KZ MB382MBQ.
Come by and pick me up. Let's Go!
mattress vs f450 payload... what a match up. that is a heavy rv pin weight though
I think the bed scale is smart. To wiegh at a scale station that means towing it there, then if its too heavy you still have to tow it home to unpack some. Thats dangerous and damages your vehicle and rig. Know before you tow!❤❤❤❤❤
JD, I just had a Gen Y gooseneck hitch installed two weeks ago. The installer told me to cross the chains.
Nice rig!
If you took the 5” offset ball out it would show less weight on the truck scale. Looks like you have plenty of room to tow the trailer with the factory gooseneck ball location & 8’ bed
Nice 😊
Looks great. Keep the rear stripe
I wouldn't worry about cutting weight. You never overload that truck with that little trailer.
Nice job
