No one knew they were interested in French firearms, Japanese swords, Warlord Pistols or even British bullpups until a book came along and presented itself as the 1 definitive reading guide You cannot publish more than 1 book on the subjects without loosing a HUGE amount of readers, not unless you target academics & hyper-collectors
@J K I'll be honest, I have no idea who Kevin is. I just saw an Ian McCollum interview. The format and style of this video very much reminds me of "the Joe Rogan experience."
Jejejejeje... loved your comment about: "my kids don't lissent to this... but the only thing I really regret in my life, is having married their mother". I think you have to go through to one of those to understand. As well as Gun-Jesus making sort of fun of your decision process, like "what could be wrong with an American entrepreneur going to work for H&K?...", that was hilarious. Great podcast guys. I thought I was less of an ignorant, but I've learned a TON with you people... :>0
Absolutely AMAZING to Ian on this...or ANY pod...he is the O.G of TH-cam gun shows...I've learned MORE from this man than ANY SINGLE person...EVER...about FIREARMS and how they function. Encyclopedic knowledge and an AMAZING storyteller. Props brother.

Dang it...Headstamp got me all in now. Never even heard of these pre colt revolvers, and now I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy both volumes...and Finnish arms? All I knew about them was the made the best Mosins you could get. It all started when somebody found a crate of kickstarter editions of the Chassepot book in the warehouse, after the campaign had ended and I had missed out....to now having bought all the books published so far....
If you assembled a 300BO upper to hunt deer & hogs in 25 to 150 yards. Most shots in that 75ish yard distance, with subs & suppressed. What barrel length would you use? Or do you recommend using suppers? I deer hunt with 308 now. Like have another option
In the last fifteen years I have heard several small publishing companies have folded up shop due to paper scarcity even though the book they publish is in high demand. Getting hard to find certain versions of the Bible.
The silencer Maxim was the son of the machine gun Maxim. The son was also into amateur radio and founded the American Radio Relay League, the NRA of ham radio. So guns were definitely a thing with the Maxim’s. Maxim’s automobile silencers were the reason stainless steel was developed. Love French guns. Enjoyed the casual banter and stories. I ordered the sword book and will get the Finn book as well. Now to find a book on Finnish post 1945 history.

Wow... 100 dollars... For old bolt rifles... You gotta be freaking kidding me... Wow. I never knew anything like that was possible... I'd love to have been around when bolt guns were cheap... I don't have a single one... Sadface
Kevin - spend some money on customer service. Having a human answer the phone makes a HUGE difference in a customer’s perception of a manufacturer. That matters whether you like it or not. In my opinion there is no comparison between Sig Sauer and the never ending train wreck of the Remington conglomerate (whoever owns them this week). Sig has put out a string of new products that are successful in the marketplace and made in the USA. Their modular striker fired pistols are very popular - with good reason. The Sig Cross is not the same rifle as the Fix (which I own), but it is a breakthrough design in a market that was *very* stuck on the same-old-same-old (bolt action rifles).
The silencer book should definitely be called Maximum Silence
I think it should be called, "Shhhh. Be quiet."
Clearly it sould be called Suppressing History.

I knew I was interested in Brit bullpups. I doubt there exists a book on the subject that I don't have.

Why bring Ian McCollum on if you are primarily going to talk about yourself?
Had this thought myself.

I’m excited for this book on silencers

Where can we get on the pre-order or pre-sale for the silencer book? A link would be great!
We will be doing a Kickstarter presale for it once it's ready.
