Ian McCollum is a self-made TH-cam gun star ( @ForgottenWeapons ) and if you are a member of the gun community you probably have seen one or two of his videos! He is also an extreme professional who takes his work seriously. Let's dive into the behind-the-scenes of his channel and more importantly to his life. We are happy that he accepted an invitation to @CZfirearmsOfficial booth and our @C.F.Podcast at the IWA 2024 show in Nürnberg so now you can enjoy the whole episode!

I didnt realize that the fallout between Karl and Ian was so bad that Ian could no longer go to InRangeTV run matches. It seems pretty petty on Karl's part as Ian helped grow his TH-cam channel and Ian is a good person despite what disagreements they may have.
Yep. Even at the moment Karl is complaining about the NVG event Ian is running because 'The rules are the same'.
As if sporting events involving shooting are going to, or even can have much difference from a legal/liability standpoint.
Karl cut his nose to spite his face. He antagonized a bunch of his own audience to score points with the more radical side of his already niche segment. It's a losing strategy and ruined an otherwise good part of gun youtube
He is a woke communist that hates the dominant and LIKABLE personality of the failed channel, is a capitalist and not with having trans leftist ideology on the channel! Like pushing the “tactical boy-girlfriend” channel on an audience that is overwhelmingly not like minded.
@@chadkhl1690 certainly seems like it. Do not know what could have caused that rift.
Karl is a child.
Thank you for the video. You did an excellent job at having an actual, relaxed discussion.
I have not seen Ian this animated outside of his discussions with Jonathan Ferguson of Royal Armouries.
Since I do not see it listed anywhere else Ian speaks of being banned from Desert Brutality at around 35:30
It makes me less than happy that anyone would decide to have a beef with Ian but... here we are...
I’m still upset Anjou their beef, inrange back in the day was perfect content, now it’s pretty much always a bore
@@Jeff-qk6ue its like watching your parents get divorced and you figure out who was holding it together when you grow up.
Karl the Kommie got left in the dust! LMAO
Karl isn't a commie. He's a degenerate nihilist.
Mami, tati, v televizi je Ježíšek!
I'm Polish but I understood that reference !

Awesome interview guys 👍 As others have mentioned I've watched multiple interviews with Ian and you could tell he was enjoying this conversation, I think you gave nuance even to the more commonly asked questions that you have to ask to introduce people to the guest, that made for better answers which made the podcast very interesting 👍 (Also after seeing Ian's behavior of having fun, I'm now convinced he didn't have a CZ Shadow 2 pointed at him off camera, and actually did do this interview under his own free will.) 🤣👍
Amazing! How does this not have more views?!
Most recent NVG for US army and British Army (Elbis systems) combine thermal and IR. It gives thermal contour to IR picture.
And the chinese probably have the blueprints within a week of them being printed
@@hakimcameldriver all reports showing that Chinese using digital NV. It seems they didn't managed photonic tube technology at least no consumer level manufacturing. However thermal imaging is dominated by Chinese companies.
@@araxonUK Well I can't blame them! Low Level Light TV technology has come a long way and is now competitive with image intensifier tubes. US is tied to legacy image intensifier technology due to political reasons (i.e. defense industry lobiests, etc)
@@telesniper2competitive? Idk about that
Sometimes James Bond interacts with Americans, Ian should play the American equivalent of Q. He can give Bond and his American partner spy some forgotten weapons.
Thats good! We just need to see him in the movie!
John wick wasted the opportunity to include him
Excellent interview
Awsome. Big live from South Australia .
Did you brought a knife to a gun fight ?
I forgot the weapons.
35:33 So Karl and Ian are really not getting along anymore
I love this conversation, great ❤
If holosun has a thermal/ red dot then the Chinese military has it
Díky za video. Mám přítele v Německu. Je členem sportovního střeleckého klubu a majitelem zbraní. Pravidelně střílejí v pohybu, takže to není zakázáno. :)
Gun Jesus!!!
I jsme to zkusili a zabralo to neskutečného času a stejně to nebylo perfektní. Časem se j tomuto vrátíme a zpětně titulky doplníme. Aspoň to máme v plánu 😉
Are you better today than you were yesterday, are you trying to better yourself, i like what Ian does here, better yourself, don't try fight for a prize.
Great work! 😏👌🏻
Just eating snacks and enjoy listening
I got my first gun way late, 18. It was a marlin model 60
Nice conversation. I thought btw that Germany do have IPSC as an active sport there. It might not be easy to get into. But they do habe dynamic shooting sport there.
I have a GIGN clone and it’s quite nice. It’s ruined Ak’s for me
Ian would be a good Bond. Just practice the accent
25:05 😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😅😅😂 i started belly laughing
Maybe #gunjesus not Q, but Qs firearms expert😅😂
What firearm is my boy Ian holding?
CZ LADA 2000 9mm prototype 😉
39:51 😮😮😮😮😮😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅😂😅 you guys are wild

Ok these guys are really strange. Is it a cultural thing that evetytime Ian explains something they say the exact same thing in a different way? It's like they're little children.
So what you are saying is that we are weird and childish when we repeat what Ian says in a slightly different way? It might be cultural thing maybe. 😉
I was literally taught to do that when I was working in IT support. Gives the person you talk to an opportunity to confirm or deny that you do indeed understand each other. It's helpful when at least one party is not speaking their native language.
@@C.F.Podcastdudes a troll
@@lucyferthehellish7794 Reminds me of how a German friend thinks it's actually the opposite of rude to go "Mhm. Yeah." to each point someone is making rather than just listen silently, since it makes it look like you're listening more.
Never put any thought into it, being Irish, but I can see how different cultures might see it. I could see others seeing it as unnecessary.
Usual a thing in us made videos
I just wish Czech firearms weren’t ultimately disappointing. They get close, but then……ugh! And they no longer offer Kadet 22lr conversions, at least in the USA!! That was one of their best features..😢
