No, no, no, you're just like me and everyone else that uses 01 and ONLY 01 like a normal car audio person that understands car audio somewhat and understand that they literally just need the 01 (ONLY 01!😄) to do the job of "all that "supposed" ultra precise special equalizing effects" that this man thinks he's doing in his ride, with his 2 automotive eq's and a 31band indoor studio DJ turntable equalizer😭😄 that he's probably powering with a ghetto rigged a.c. wall adapter wire to car splice wrapped in some packaging or painters tape. Lol he's literally just adding hella amount of interferences, ground loops, and other possible stuff by adding that much, all just so he can attempt to equalize that popping static out and think he's got the most bad ass custom car audio install on the block. Ya I get i'm over reacting a little and over exaggerating a little, maybe sounding mad to some or something but I'm not, it's just, I mean like cmonnn man 😩why do all that craziness. This guys ride looking like he's got 2 Wi-Fi boxes and a Damn DVD player sitting there hooked up.
How would you hook up that clarion EQ to a factory Amp that doesn't have RCA Cables? 2. What happens when you hook up the EQ to the head unit inputs will it still work without rca to factory Amp? Thanks
Do I hook up the power antenna lead on the EQ to the remote power lead terminal on the amplifier? Right now, the red power lead amplifier is tandem with the red power lead on the EQ, the black ground is tandem with the black amplifier ground. thanks
I would like to see a video on how you hook the sub up to one of these. I bought the Skar 7 band equalizer pretty much go use as a line driver cause the voltage coming from my head unit is about half of what my amp needs.

not able to make vids at the moment so i will try to explain look on back of your deck and there should be 1-3 pairs of rca inputs they should say on the deck or the wires on some models it will say front/rear/or sub some of jvc models will have like only 2 pairs and it will say front and also say rear/sub what this means is the rear set can also be used for a subwoofer instead you just have to pick witch on the deck when it is on when i can make a vid of this i will hope this helps you out tho
I would never ask this guy for advice on hooking up car audio. There is absolutely no need for all those connections and only two eqs are needed if you want "overkill". But you really only need one....and all that wiring is driving me nuts. So sloppy!
Are those 2 eq's the same? Clarion 7 band? And why would you need a separate eq only for the subwoofer? Is that 30 band eq, really make a difference? Im sitting here with a Brand New Kenwood deck & a brand new SoundXreme 7 band passive EQ & cant use the EQ so it was a waste of money. The EQ only has ONE set of inputs & 3 sets of outputs, how crazy is that.

I agree. I think the only reason I would use this is for badly recorded material. The only reason I bought an EQ is for the crossover. Mine will be placed in the back with my sub. No need to adjust.

Hello, i just wonder if the head unit has 6 RCA channel output (4 speakers and 2 subwoffers), but an equalizer only has 2 inputs, wich 2 outputs you select from the head unit to hook into the equalizer? and would not using all 6 low outputs could transcend in a deteriorated sound quality at the end?
Buy a Bluetooth speaker, take the wires going to the speaker, off the speaker. Splice rca cables to the +/- of the wires that went to the speaker, hook them to your eq. You've just created a Bluetooth infotainment system. You're welcome.
I have a Kenwood cd deck AND a 7 band EQ .I know I run from my Fronts/stereo TO the EQ then out to the speakers .........But Im confused on how to hookup my Subs . A Sony amp is powering them So, I run FROM the stereo using RCAs TO the eq right? and then out to the speakers , correct? OR Would I run FROM the EQ to the Amp with the rcas?
if you eq is like the one I use in the video then there will be 1 set of rcas that say input and 3 sets that say output set for fronts one set for rears and one set for subs witch is the set you would use for your sub amp.

+Mike Jones ii u use an eq you will need 2 more or 1 -4 ch amp,,either way u cant use the 3k amp on subs and nothing on the mid and highs..there is cd players with built in outputs for both subs and fullrange..if your stereo doesnt have it then you need a eq,,either way get another amp for the mids and high..depending on your cash and music taste i can help you further,,but i need more info...what you have besides the amp and woofers

i had 2 of the same in this vid clarion eqs746 and the reason i did it this way was cause if you do it with just one when you would adjust the lower freqs for the sub it also adjusts it going to the mids and highs so that is why i did it this way but i decided to make it much more simple and got a audio control digital eqs and am much more happy with it the clarions sucked bad as i found out once i hooked up the eqs so if i were you just buy an eqs you will be very happy.
That's not a smart way to hook that up. You combined fronts and rears going into the 30-band, but you should have combined lefts and rights. Now everything will be mono, as the 2 sides of each channel play in unison.

your deck most likely has a front set of rca outs and a rear set of rca outs hook up the fronts to the eq as for the aux that is so you can use an external device like mp3 player ipod zune ect ect you just need a rca to aux converter hope this helps
i actually have that same clarion and just got the sound stream. im attempting to switch out the clarion to sound stream. EVERY time i plug in the power it shorts out the car panel fuse for radio . what am i doing wrong ?

You can use the fronts for the input you don't need any other just 1 set

The 2 rca front outputs from the kenwood go into the 2 inputs on the eq then the eq does all the seperation.

are both equalizer mid and bass the same brand or it dosent matter?
i had 2 of the same in this vid clarion eqs746 and the reason i did it this way was cause if you do it with just one when you would adjust the lower freqs for the sub it also adjusts it going to the mids and highs so that is why i did it this way but i decided to make it much more simple and got a audio control digital eqs and am much more happy with it the clarions sucked bad as i found out once i hooked up the eqs so if i were you just buy an eqs you will be very happy.

hey man i got a Pioneer AVH 2700BS, that has 4 outputs at the back, do i need to use all 4 outputs or can i just use any 2 to run to my Clarion eq
as long as they are full range and not sub outs you'll be fine.

That's not a smart way to hook that up. You combined fronts and rears going into the 30-band, but you should have combined lefts and rights. Now everything will be mono, as the 2 sides of each channel play in unison.

your deck most likely has a front set of rca outs and a rear set of rca outs hook up the fronts to the eq as for the aux that is so you can use an external device like mp3 player ipod zune ect ect you just need a rca to aux converter hope this helps

i actually have that same clarion and just got the sound stream. im attempting to switch out the clarion to sound stream.
EVERY time i plug in the power it shorts out the car panel fuse for radio . what am i doing wrong ?
Try a better ground location. Or check to see if the power wires pinched or exposed anywhere
