looked like a glorious day indeed - nice riding on the bumpy stuff, HL2 smashed it! the trail through the woods looked good but the mountain top was spectacular! drone footage was awesome as ever mate, nice one :)
Just had the best weekend riding with mates at GT and the Golfie! Only got one round in and mucked up Repeat Offender a bit... Still had the best time riding ever though!
Looks like you had an amazing ride with the guys, skydio drone does an ace job of tracking you down mountain which trying something similar with my drone didn't go so well 😆 looking forward to Ben More vid when you get the chance, cheers Andy! 😁🤙
Love'n it Andrew. Just Marvelous. you're damn nifty with those nose pivot turns too... The new Highlander mk2 certainly holding its own compared to it's big brother, Claymore.
I may not have ebike anymore .... i may not be a youngun anymore...i may not of seen your vids for awhile ....buuut im catching up on vids...and i bought a non ebike recently road only😂.....nice to see you down my neck of woods 'lake district' ...vids up too your usual standards👍👍👍👍cheers dave...
Another great video showcasing Scotland and its mountain trails. Any thoughts on how the new version of the Highlander is better than the original? I am an original Highlander owner (mainly due to you!) and still loving it and incredulous at its ability to compensate for my lack of skills!
The new Highlander is better imo, but if your happy with your original, I wouldn’t bother changing over. As always though, a demo would be the best option to know for sure.
WOW . Dude that was a belta bro. Great vid mate loved all the views n mountains looks awesome, Shame I only own a ht n dh bike lol. N few funny comments his poor sausage lol . N wen u said bumpy sounded like me lol
@@McTrailRiderI have Tech 4 V4’s and love them but the noise is dreadful. Ebike disks? How do they differ? I would defo spend the money to stop the noise!
@@nothinglessness yeah, non floating ones. 2.3mm thick is the main thing your after. Only works with the V4’s though, as the E4 calliper isn’t wide enough.
I’ve had the old highlander for a few months only ridden it twice got it for the new bike feel hoping it would give me the urge to get out again, any tips for recapturing the bug?
That’s a hard one to answer for you tbh. I’d look to see what it was that I enjoyed/appreciated most before and try to recreate that. Failling that, honestly, I’d maybe try an e-bike. More riding and less suffering if you want to use it that way.
Looks awesome. Your usual skillful riding and amazing scenery. Cheers.
Much appreciated mate😊

Cheers dude, the Highlander performed very well indeed.
Fantastic riding!! Making the Highlander look good.
Cheers dude 👍
you are smashing it dude.
Thanks dude
That certainly looked like an awesome day on the bike.
Oh yeah!
Boy can ride a bike! Well done buddy. Enjoyed seeing how it's done 🤙
Cheers Jamie, I’m looking forward to your video of the day👍
@@McTrailRider it'll be a bit like yours with much slower riding 😂 Nah, it'll be good to crack on with it. Hope you had a good time abroad buddy 👌

Nice! You can’t go too far wrong at the Golfie👌

That video should be out very soon👍
Great day! Some sections of the slab looked really fun, but overall I'd probably skip. The forest was super pretty with that green!
The forest was a nice contrast to the top
Spectacular vistas up on top. I’m not sure I’ve ever heard you say “too bumpy “ before 😉 thanks for the vid
Haha, it just wasn’t as flowing as the top bit was. I usually love the bumps😜
This looks amazing. Another for the list ♥️👍. Thank you. And goo to they the HL2 in full flow ♥️👍
The HL2 was performing very well on this one 👌
@@McTrailRider so so good to hear 👍
🚴 Great Stuff buddy 👍
Cheers Taffy
Skydio is another level drone for sure.
It’s an incredible piece of technology.
Remember a holiday in Arrochar on the shores of Loch Long. Well I remember the midges anyway. 😀
Haha, the midges are excellent around here 👌😂
Love'n it Andrew. Just Marvelous. you're damn nifty with those nose pivot turns too... The new Highlander mk2 certainly holding its own compared to it's big brother, Claymore.
Cheers Richard, I actually prefer the Highlander 2 for quite a lot of the mountain riding, nose pivots included.

@@McTrailRider jst a tad 😂
Another great video Andrew. That drone is the nuts! Some picture quality issues I think. Not as clear as previous videos.
I think the quality issues may be on your side Kevin, I don’t see anything wrong with it through TH-cam at my end.
@@McTrailRider Okay. Didn’t detract from the watching experience. 👍
14:05 that do look 'lovely' 😆
Such a nice trail and woodland at that point👌
lol you got me having a moment 🤣
Couldn’t not put that in Ross😜
@@McTrailRider It was a tricky descend. always nice to catch other riders in view as well.
Fantastic! Are the squeaky Hope brakes driving you mad yet? The latest Hope brakes but with XT a zero noise would be the ultimate.
It’s pretty annoying tbh, although the v4’s with e-bike discs are quiet thankfully.
@@McTrailRiderI have Tech 4 V4’s and love them but the noise is dreadful. Ebike disks? How do they differ? I would defo spend the money to stop the noise!
@@nothinglessness the e-bike discs are 2.3mm thick rather than 1.8mm. It definitely helps with the noise.
Are these the non floating ones? I will try anything right now as these brakes are a work of art so really want to keep them.
