Very enjoyable to watch. You two definitely have a set of "cojones" to ride down those steep trails and sometimes no trails. And your country is quite beautiful
Fantastic weather, ride and views - I'm always amazed at the seriously rocky trails you seem to fly down. Nowt like that here in the New Forest. Great video - I really enjoyed this one.
amazing mission you guys went on for that one!...stunning views on the climb to the top and big skills on display getting the bikes back down that trail! well done and nicely filmed :)
Obviously I've not been up where you go( but aside from amazing amazing picture quality and views)...😍 ..I just love the way I can piece together all the places I've been with your mountain locations...superb👌
Hey man, I've been watching your videos for a while (I usually don't comment lol), but thanks for taking us with you on your journeys and what an absolutely spectacular view! I live in the US but you have definitely helped add a few more places to visit and ride on my bucket list!
I carry the same satcom setup and SWAT brand tourniquet wrap, very easy to use. Can also be used as a compression dressing, hold closed wounds etc or used as a wrap with field expedient splints. Great vid. Stay safe out there.
Wow that's some punishing mountain descent, too techy for me but to see some amazing scenery and dry sunny weather, have been to Loch Awe befoe and wondered if there's many trails about, interesting to know, well ridden and thanks for sharing!
Been up there walking in the winter many years ago and recall the brutally steep climb up from the road level. We planned on doing the ridge loop but surrendered to the snow cornices and icy rocks and retreated back the way we came. The amazing views from the top stay with me to this day. What a spot!
Well done lads , did that as a walk in january this year 22 ,coming down that last section i was thinking to myself i could never ride this ,beyond my skill sets atb Mark
pumped back up at night when electricity is cheaper. It is then used when demand is high during the day and surge times when TV programs stop and people put the kettle on. This is takes the strain off power station demand. It uses more electricity than it produces.
good work getting even most of the way down that. Looked terrible! Down here in Wales my mates would call that a triple M ride *Morgan's Magical Mystery Tour. It is the kind of experimental stuff I would try. lol. Some you win, some you lose. But all good fun.
So I use to work for part of the company that owns the water pumping storage company seen in this video. The idea of this place is during the night when there is a lot less demand of the grid pumps pump water to the top dam and let it down in the day time when demand is high. They will be paid to use the electricity at night to use up excess electricity normally made by wind farms (run 24/7 if it’s windy) as you have to match demand and supply
I totally understand how and why it works, just find it funny that it uses more energy than it makes, regardless of the reason. It’s such a cool place and an impressive feat of engineering though.
Particularly Epic views on thiis ride! I've always been tempted to get a sat phone or device for riding in extreme remote locations, but for me that doesnt happen very much any more and the £300 + the £17 subscription isnt cheap.. well worth it if the risk is there tho!
The expense was what was putting me off too, but then I thought of a couple of potential crashes I could have had in the past where there wasn’t signal, and thought it would have been a shame to die because I didn’t spend £250😬
@@McTrailRider Had an online row with a woman in the Highlands who swears blind there's A whole herd of Bigfoot harassing her. So ye can't be too careful out there!
Piers has an invisible stash for his jacket! He wears no pack, his jersey has no roadie-pockets stuffed with a jacket... are you doing sherpa duty and stashing it in your pack? Or did Piers pedal back to the car and stash it there? More great scenery up there, jealous as always.
Beinn (Ben in English) simply means hill in Gaelic, so yeah, most are named that way, but not all. Almost all the alternative names are descriptive words in Gaelic.
Those stunning views almost caused my TV to melt down.
😂 it sure was 😍
the wiggle between the rocks from 15:57 to 16:04, definitely pulled out the moves there lol, brilliant
Threading the needle in that one
Very enjoyable to watch. You two definitely have a set of "cojones" to ride down those steep trails and sometimes no trails. And your country is quite beautiful
No big cojones here😜 we just know what we can and can’t ride, plenty of walking round stuff we can’t ride to be honest.
I am literally drooling over those Insanely gorgeous views
Pretty, aren’t they
I love how burly and raw your trails are. Beautiful scenery all around.
They’re not all quite as burly as this one thankfully 😜
@@McTrailRider That is good.
amazing scenery with some rough trails, as always... great videos!
Thanks buddy
Gotta give great kudos boyz that was INSANE n EPIC. Great vid mate n fantastic ridin fellas 👊👏👏👏👏👏 . Some seriously tough stuff 👏👏👏👏👏😍👊🤗
Cheers buddy 👍
Wow, some of those trails are desperate A F. 😨 Beautiful views as always.
Desperate is probably the appropriate word.
A favourite place walking or biking, and fishing the river Awe

Another stunning 360, and who doesn't like exploring tunnels! :)
That tunnel was so cool 😎
Spectacular scenery.
Some of the best 👌
Thank you Andrew...that was really cool. Beautiful and crazy ! Thanks for sharing the scenery .
Thanks for watching
I hiked up Ben Cruachan a few years ago and wild camped at the bealach, absolutely incredible views!
That sounds awesome 👌

Wow what an awesome looking ride. And the weather 😎☀️. Lol I too remember having a school trip to that mountain and my father used to work there 👍
No way! Cool place to work.
@@McTrailRider I was always jealous and it was the coolest of jobs. But still better to ride the mountain 👍
you got amazing weather brilliant!
Couldn’t have got the weather much better 👌
Aye the walk up from the main road to the Dam is a killer. You def took the best way up going by the road lol lol
It’s a beast alright😜

Hopefully never need either, but it’s a massive piece of mind to know they are in the bag 👍
That view at the top was spectacular to say the least, awesome day out
Not often you get the views at the top, got lucky 👍
Cracking day & views 👍
Forgot to add, if it looks steep & technical then it is 😂
Superb day 😍
Man that rock want your mech bad reaching out like that good look
Would have caused some damage 😬
What a view so rewarding 👌
Very much worth the push up 😮
Great stuff buddy 😉 enjoyed the video 😉🚴🚴👌👌

Worth a climb without the bike. Not much in the way of Mtb trails around loch Awe unfortunately

The views and the feeling you get at the top of these mountains really do stick with you 😊 That’s why I like mountains over trail centres.
Well done lads , did that as a walk in january this year 22 ,coming down that last section i was thinking to myself i could never ride this ,beyond my skill sets atb Mark
I’ll be honest, I have no intention of ever riding that lower section ever again. It was brutal🙈😜
@@McTrailRider Lol , i don"t blame you ..
Canny beat Scotland when the sunshines
100%
Dude, tighten your left visor screw on your helmet, lost mine and can’t find a replacement anywhere. Nice vid!
It actually came loose on the ride, the thread was stripped too😢 A bit of tpfe tape has fixed it for just now.

@@McTrailRider yeah only one of 4 pump hydroelectric sites in the UK. Remember doing stuff about it in geography at school.

It was nothing short of brutal below the dam😱 is the triple M a Beatles thing?
Jeeez that was savage
Too savage below the dam, won’t be tackling that one again 😬
@@McTrailRider I would have shit the bed. The camera made it look steep which means it was even worse!

Been thinking about getting one of those Garmin GPS yokes. That and a gun and you've no chance of being cornholed by Bigfoot or Dogman ✌🏼
