- Mind blowing technical singletrack - Lake District emtb
This is by far the most technical and mind blowing singletrack I have attempted.
The monumental climb, just to summit Harter Fell was almost a video in itself! If you decide to tackle this route then be prepared to stay in ludicrous mode for most the climb. I have a 675wh battery amd used 50% over 9 miles to get to the top. I am heavy as well, keep that in mind as you will fair better.
Jason guided myself, Marc and Shaun around this incredible loop in the south lakes.
The descent down Harter Fell quickly escalated far past my riding ability, but also left a lasting taste of "it would be amazing clearing that level of technicality!"
Once that was cleared, we were then faced with the prospect of Nan Bield and the infamous switchbacks! Could it actually be done with zero dabs 🤔😱

An absolute belter of a video mate, totally shows how technical, tiring and epic this day was, also showing the benefits of an ebike, you rode really well, what a great day to be out on our bikes, loved it 👍
Love how all 3 of us rode the same day yet the videos are all so different to each others. You rode fantastic mate, best part though was us all getting out on yet another brilliant adventure.
My favourite part of my video is the end where the piano comes in, captures our exhaustion and also the bond we all have together on rides and as mates 😀

Just proper mountain biking. Great views and great riding all. Nothing there is easy but the rewards are immense (so are the risks of course). Brilliant!
Some parts where that certainly crossed my mind about the consequences, safe to say I walked them, then by the end was that knackered had nothing left lol
Worth it though, such a great ride.

Incredible ride this mate, loved every second of it even the pain of the climb and descent. First real ride where the ebike really showed me what it is capable of, only thing letting it down was me and my lack of climbing skills and fitness.

Mate beast of a climbs and the descents are wow . Great job mate really enjoyed the end part looked sketchy .
Proper hard those climbs, went on for so long as well 🤣 descents were just as knackering as well, so sketchy in places for sure 😭🤣

Amazing mate epic your so lucky to go on these rides regularly and have a guide! I wish it wasn't an 11 hour round trip for me.

What a grand tour! The uphill looks strenuous, but the view is a dream. And the downhill is sick, so steep and rocky, it looks like a lot of fun. A really cool video and beautiful edit. Keep up the good work buddy and have fun buddy.

Just amazing aren't they, from all the cheeky riding in woods last year, I can honestly say I prefer these rides.

@@mikey.yellow.wheels293 There's shorter rides that would see you round on a battery mate. Even this one, you can miss out a chunk at the start by crossing from the top of Kentmere to Sadgill, but the climb and descent aren't as interesting. Would save about 10% of battery life though I reckon
@@Stopadoodledoo mines a 450w so bit less than Christians, have still got my normal bike just not sure how my legs wkd cope with that kind of climb lol!!!
Nothing does compair to the lakes, guess that's why the raf love training up there.
The Lakes really is a special place for so many reasons 😊
Awesome video mate, such a great day and you guys did really well; from a technical riding perspective, this was a few levels up from what has come before (especially Harter Fell).

I’ll be honest, not sure you will like Dollywaggon but the trail after it, that is something else. Not as technical as Harter Fell but there will be a few bits where you stop and say ‘sod that’ (or a profanity fuelled version of that) 😂

Another cracking ride, best to date, your skill level clearly getting better and confidence is building, keep putting yourself through it and you will clean that 1 day. How do we get in touch with Jason for a guided ride? Thanks again.
Cheers mate yeh this was about 30 levels above previous lakes ride for sure. Will keep on it and hopefully one day be able to clear more.
As for Jason and guided tours, best thing we would get you out on a ride with us so as not to overload Jason, he is a unique flavour 🤣

As for me being a guide, happy to go on rides with anyone but don’t want to be labelled as a guide because to do so is taking on liability if anyone gets hurt, etc. Plus, I don’t stick to the rules regarding where we should and shouldn’t ride; I am more of a Follow my Nose kind of chap 😀
Lucky you're not behind Marc and I on these rides as only thing your nose is following would be a scent of fresh human poo 🤣🤣
