I've checked through the balance sheet of iReit Global and it looks strong enough. Also, Powell did say that Fed rate cuts should still take place this year, so I think Reits sector should be bottoming out around this period of time. Thus, I went ahead to buy some already. Huat ah! 🙂

I blogged about ESR before and how they seemed to be trying to grow at all cost. They bought lousy properties from Viva.😱 Don't like the way they do things. Horribly stretched balance sheet and had to raise funds. 😱Low ball offer for sabana failed but not so for ARA Logos. 😷When I don't like the management, I avoid. Just me talking to myself of course 🙊

All REITs pay out at least 90% of their income as dividends. This leaves them with little. Crossing fingers that we don't get hit by another storm. 🤞

Thanks for the video on iREIT Global, and your constant reminders that long term investing and the benefits of dividend investing - really appreciate your videos. For REIT investors, we should be looking forward to the rate cuts from the US, but I think you’re right that we won’t see interest rates falling all the way to before, so must be discerning in selecting quality REITs to invest in.

Hey AK, I respectfully disagree on diversifying.. before bank earnings report I bought all 3 banks to “diversify” even though was quite concentrated sector and geography wise.
When DBS dividends rise beat expectations and I was calculating that the expected dividends in UOB and OCBC would still be lower than what DBS had announced it was giving, I still held the other 2 for the sake of “diversifying”.
In the end, when it was UOB’s turn to report, I was so disappointed by UOB’s management that I sold off all UOB and OCBC and threw everything into DBS.
Glad I did it as at that time the price was still about $34 for DBS but the growth in price for the other 2 was more muted so I had missed out on profits had I sold all and entered all in DBS during DBS earnings day.
So my lesson this round is not to diversify for the sake of diversification.
Have to take the good with the bad sometimes because we don't have perfect knowledge. Just me talking to myself of course. 🙊Good to have your own plan always. 💯👌😊

I have agreed with you on a lot things but I totally disagree with you on ireit global. Germany is going into a prolonged recession and deindustrialization. The euro zone and the euro is not looking good in the medium to long term and hence currency risk which you and some other people have been talking about regarding the yuan. Germany has the highest FDI into China the last few quarters because of exorbitant energy prices. I can go on ad nauseum. However, I must thank you for highlighting Aims Apac Reit. Good management, organic growth and mangers have skin in the game. Many thanks AK!
Of course, no one can be right all the time. We win some we lose some. As Buffett said, if one can be right 60% of the time, we already stand to make a lot of money. Investing is not about getting rich but preserving and growing our wealth.
