Always get a money order I made that mistake fortunately it wasn’t bad but get a money order that keeps track of all paperwork and take a photo shoot out a copy of the whole money order and keep the receipt of the money order usually about $100 in Massachusetts they may not give you a receipt
Hi Jon, question about the recent NYSRPA Supreme Court win affecting us here in MA? I applied in a red town and required to do 2 reference letters, statement to the chief, and was told I’d need to do a phone interview. Application was submitted June 23 the same day as the scotus ruling. Detective told me after my background check and interview if all else checks out I can expect my permit in around 2 months. My question is can they still ignore the ruling and issue a restricted permit?

40 days to issue or deny the license? I went through Brockton and they told me to check-in in 90 days. Took me a year & a half to get the initial appointment.
1.) You could go to court house and have them print out records. 2.) Police station it happened at and have them pull up the records for a date. These are what I was told and I haven't done them yet if you could give me an update on what you ended up doing please tell because I'm in the same boat as you where 7 months ago.

How long did it take for you to get any status on the hotline? I keep calling. It's been about forty days and they just keep telling me and it's under review.

Was it during covid?
During covid they stopped accepting appointments but it’s one officer that does them one day out of the week
Why are retired military not exempt?

When should you start the process for renewal of your license?
I am sure Goal will answer this. Here are my 2 cents. I would say 90 or more days prior to expiration.
90 days is pretty good window. And get the receipt!
