This state has weird laws. I can’t have pepper spray shipped to my house in MA but it’s legal to buy in store and carry, but I just ordered a pellet revolver that shoots at 500 fps with no issues, no questions asked. Meanwhile Amazon won’t ship BBs, air guns or related paraphernalia to MA, but I can order pepper spray via Amazon if I have it shipped to an Amazon locker in New Hampshire and drive an hour to pick it up Lol.
None of the laws in this state make sense. I can have a Burmese python (I have 2) but a retic or an anaconda is strictly forbidden. I can also own a carne corso or a Clydesdale or any number of animals that are far more dangerous than any constrictor. I can drive a 88 Buick but if I modify my golf in the slightest it will fail inspection. I need permission from the state to do just about anything on my land cuz the environment but the state is clear cutting wild habitat to put up solar farms and windmills. NOTHING MAKES SENSE HERE.

I was on land that I had permission, but property owner next door was just under 500 ft and police informed me that since I didn't have written permission from neighbor I couldn't shoot
Incorrect at @2:35 ... the law only states that a the Chief of Police where they reside would need to permit the BB Gun... the video makes it sound much crazier by saying it's "every jurisdiction they'd be driving through." More important in practice, the fine $100 and given the unlikelyhood of being fined ever / often, not a big deal for "not likely to happen." Not saying it's great law or that anyone should break it, but doesn't compare to life in jail for non-violently carrying a machine gun or two and half years in prison with no probation for passively allowing certain types of ammunition to be picked up ("transfered") illegally.
I live in eastern Mass. I want to practice shooting my air pistol. Where can I go? I rented a car and am driving out to Hudson to the air gun range, but that is not practical. Where can I shoot my gun???
Given my middle school back in like 2003-2005, nobody enforced the school grounds law. I've seen airsoft, paintball, knives, drugs, alcohol, possibly real guns and fireworks at my middle school, was mugged of my lunch money ALOT to the point I was eating lunch like maybe 2-3 a week. Teachers didn't give a shit about bullying and probably still don't.
Just some clarification. You said a 16 year old with a drivers license and fid can possess a ruger mini 14 in a vehicle. This is not correct as the mini 14 can readily accept a magazine holding more than 10 rounds making an ltc necessary for possession

Weapons not listed on the Large Capacity Roster shall be considered large capacity weapons in accordance with M.G.L. c. 140, § 121, if they are capable of accepting a large capacity feeding device, or readily modifiable to accept a large capacity feeding device as defined by 501 CMR 7.02.

I have a co2 paintball gun .40 cal. Yes co2. What are the rules in Massachusettes for carrying it on my person for personal protection. Can I wear it visually. Or under my coat. I understand how it may look to people. But what’s the law and what is my right. Just having a device for protection showing can and will most likely make some scumbag. Not even try. And do I need a permit for pepper spray gel. I also wear a body cam. I’m over 21.

It is correct. The Ruger Mini-14 is not large capacity. It is not on the large capacity roster.
