Just bumped across your Channel today I love it I have a 2 up 95 Indy Sport Touring that I have slowly been doing a little bit of restoration here and there on 1200 original miles and in pretty darn good shape aside from the paint can't find a good decal kit so I've been surfing for videos like this. I kept the original metal skis with the Red Skins on the bottom. Next up will be bogie bearings and a rebuild kit for the skis bushings Etc already went through the engine got rid of the plastic oil injecting gear and put a metal one in and redid crank seals
Very nice sled! I have a friend who had the 440 version. I think it was a 1993. That was one of the best riding and handling sleds I have ever ridden. ... Another service item you may consider is remove all of the Fox shocks and have them rebuilt. ...Best of luck with it!!
Thanks for watching! Currently just riding it and enjoying it as it is but I definitely plan to do shocks in the future. Only can do so much at a time!
Love your videos! I’m also from the East coast, we ride in Pittsburg and Errol. Anywho you need to find yourself an old citation 250 to resurrect on the channel. I call them a poor man’s tundra…
Built in 94, but that's a 95. I had one for 15 yrs, just let it go a couple yrs ago. Mine wasn't nearly that clean. Was a great machine. I also used to have the 91 Sport you have sitting there. Actually have had 3.
hey mr new hampshire nice 600 rocket ship! from sitting these tripples like to flood the crankcase. make sure to check those crankcase plugs uder exhaust 8 or 10mm and see if there is any feul in the crankcase. the bad things about these tripples is they use the same crank bearings as the little 244 single 340,400,440 and the good old 488 fan and liquid cooled.they are rather stubborn to start but when you get them running hang on.tunned with stock exhaust no need to destroy stock exhaust there fine. clutching is the game. earlandson makes the best springs and weights. gearing another. i have 21/35 for gears, that gear was the gears to use when they were new nothing like seeing close to 110-120 mph. and watch out it comes on pretty fast. thats a lake runner for sure. shes a tank to allitle over 500 plus lbs. try not to get it stuck w,o,t. take care of that beast i still have my 1990 488 indy trail polaris deluxe in silver and a weird thing is that on packed trails good weather it gets about 14 mpg. has 11.5 gallon tank. nice for a atique if you would call it. hope you got some snow over your way. i live in ny 1232 elevation mud and rain. out west the trough for the snow band just sits and spins. im always watching the forcast what it is.
Nice looking sled. The ski's are perfect... word of advice from a long time Polaris owner, and 30 year mechanic. If that sled has the low end slight bog off the line. Than try lowering the needles one notch from stock. Helps allot. That is raising needle clip one up towards the top of needle.
The orange ski loops really tie in with the decals, looks great. Just throwing this out there but it looked like that belt was riding kinda deep in the secondary, you'll gain some holeshot power if tighten up that secondary adjustment if you're gonna run that belt. Cool vid man, praying for some snow in NH
It's a Healthy motor. Rings Prob Stuck from sitting. Usually it's the line in the gas tank goes bad and the Fuel pump might need rebuilt. Along with water pump issues... on those old XLT's.
Great video! I can believe that mileage is actual. Very clean engine compartment. I'm curious to see how well those skis perform. I'm thinking about buying a pair myself. Keep the great content coming!
Do LED swap. Add some ground, rear, front (headlight) and side LED's. The battery and alternator will thank you. Make em' look discrete but be powerful for safety.
Could be original.. but seat has been recovered, not sure why rear wheels are different. Reverse was added. I bought this sled Brand New in 95. And yes this would be a 95. 94.5 was the 1/2 year (spring launch) they were pretty fast. I had put Starting Line Pipes day one and that thing FLEW! Great looking sled. How much did you pay? Thanks for the video!😊
Is it possible to put a reverse in my 90s polaris indy 400 twin.and what donors should i be looking at?i can live with pull start but reverse would be so much better on my already weak back.any help appreciated, maybe ur viewers know also!!snooky pa.😊😊
If you bought this as a decent used sled then it’s okay. But if I bought this as a mint 800 mile sled I would of jumped off a roof lol.. everything f is cracked or broke or not original lol.. now your gonna spend $1000 on a sled worth $1500? Ur crazy man lol ….
New England has lost its winter charm and all the winter and snow haters get a laugh and a charge out of all the flood rains same heartless people who watch nascar racing to see crashes and drivers get hurt
Polaris introduced the XCR 600 as a mid-year 94’ model. Had the 94’ back in the day.
I still remember what a kick-ass ditch banger the sled was
No snow in northern Michigan 😢 I sold 2 sleds... no snowblowers though 😅 great show brother thanks for sharing 👍 🙏

Congratulations. Those Polaris machines make good Anchors
That’s what I’ve heard!

Just found your channel today, I’m shocked you only have 900 subs, the content is very high quantity. Keep it up. Love the old sleds
Thank you so much!

I had a suspicion that might have been the case! I guess I’ll have to change the year on the vid!
Tunnel footrest paint wore off. Way more than 827 miles.
Like the gas/brake pedals in an old car.
All good tho - run it….!

When I dive into carbs because I know I will have to 😂 I’ll look into that! Thanks for the advice!
I have a 95 xcr 600 snowcheck special with a black hood. A 98 storm 800, 98 srx 700 and a 02 thundercat.
My xcr is my favorite

I did see it was a tad bit low I decided im going to throw a new belt on it and use that other one as a spare

Congratulations on 900 subscribers 🎉🎉
Thank you Mike! I’m blown away.
One of my sleds still runs with 80 psi compression, 440 fuji fanner
Very nice triple, and another great vid.

The biggest regret i have is getting rid of my XCR 700 (1998) 3 years ago .... XC-10 ... miss that one : /

Great videos, would you know of anywhere in Canada or the states that might sell used Yamaha RS venture TF parts or aftermarket. Thanks
Not sure just starting to get into the Yamaha world myself

Rear wheels are factory. They came pink, his are just faded
Reverse I believe is factory. It has all the decals on the dash showing how to use it and warnings.
If you ever pop that chain case open I’d love to know the part number or teeth of the reverse gears
I’ll try to keep you in mind when I do I only took the inspection cap off to check fluid and chain tension
Add a pto oil line for crank.
Love your channel i ride an 89 indy trail
Nice sled!
Interested in a white headlight cover?
Possibly!

I know it’s possible on a triple cause it’s all in the chain case.
Oh man, that old girl has seen a thing or two in a short 800 miles. But thats ok triples are fun!
Definitely hard miles 🤣
Xcr's were great ditch bangers, alot of them are in the same shape. I like the orange loops, looks very nice!
lOVE IT!!!!
Service clutch
I will for sure

Didn’t say it was a mint sled by any means… that’s not what we do on this channel.
builld date is probably 94 but that is definately a 95
