      I have considered it, but for now I've decided against it. Some people don't really enjoy the 'fluff' but want to immediately get into the content, or they'll leave the video... Hence I haven't, as I still hope to attract new viewers and subscriber that'll stick around... I've thought of adding a small entry screen as you can see on my newly constructed introduction video (th-cam.com/video/Fs_IcaCa6WM/w-d-xo.html)... the blue screen with the logo appearing, but am not sure yet about that... Awesome! I love learning about the illegitimate kids of royalty; they have such an ambiguous position, & often end up being very important. I _don't_ love how an illegitimate son, whose very existence was due to what they believed was a serious sin, could at least be _considered_ for the throne, but a legitimate daughter inheriting was absolutely unthinkable. Given I've just been reading about Eleanor of Aquitaine, who ruled better than many men, I can only say it's as self-defeating as it is sexist.

    • @TheKingsofFrance
      @TheKingsofFrance  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      In France the succession was arranged via the Salic Law of succession, which indeed excluded women. If one thinks about it, England was a far more progressive nation for its time. (although Henri VIII did try whatever he could to avoid a woman to sit on the throne obviously).
