    She's a bad mama jama!
    Can't thank you enough for how you got me into the kitchen, cooking delicious Ghanaian dishes after the passing of my mother.
    As a British born Ghana girl, I have tested these dishes on my most skilled culinary relatives and had their approval, hands down every time!
    Stay blessed sis! xx

    I notice there's no ground crayfish here, is the smoked shrimp used instead for this recipe? When I make Nigerian food I often find the fish taste overpowers from the crayfish (for someone not used to it). Should I reduce the smoked prawns if that's the case?

    I have never had African food and I want so much to try it. But the ingredients are not stuff I am familiar with. I did not that egusi was pumpkin seeds, and was so glad and though ,oh I can try this one. Then I saw iru/ locust bean. I have no idea what this is. Please, is there a substitute. I want to try at least 1 African dish. And can palm oil be substituted too?

    • @NanaabasKitchen
      @NanaabasKitchen  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      CP, thank you for your feedback. Please substitute locust beans with 1 teaspoon meso paste, or 1 teaspoon fish sauce, And you may certainly substitute palm oil with virgin coconut oil. I hope this helps! Thanks again 🙏🏾💕

      If you live close to a Mexican store or a Whole Foods store, you can find the green egusi I showed in the video (they’re called papitas at the stores ( also known as pumpkin pumpkin seeds) they’re readily available in most stores. Please ask for pumpkin seeds. Dawadawa is available in powder form on amazon.com. Please let me know if this helps.
