  • Here I set up camp in the garden ( we’re in lockdown for Covid) showing all the equipment I carry and use for a warm weather camp.

Always enjoy seeing others setup! Very entertaining. I have the Brompton tools, but find putting it in the tube makes it a little awkward when I need it. Carry it in an easier to get to bag. Going to get a portable Lezyne foot pump for possible flats.

The Lezyne pump does seem to be the pump of choice at the moment👍

@@terrysallbikes I got the topeak mini morph floor pump for a recent overseas trip. It worked really well pumping the high pressure Brompton tyres from scratch (needed to deflate for the flight). The pump that comes with the Brompton is not capable of getting the required PSI, unless you are the Hulk. But even the mini morph struggled past 80psi, but I felt that was enough (having had an older inner tube explode in Thailand)

Nice video Terry. I like the look of the mini lantern. Can you possibly leave a link or where they can be bought? Many thanks.

I bought the lantern several years ago in Maplins electrical store, sadly I think they went bust.

Thanks for this video. Can I ask what the weight of the contents of the saddlepack are and how wobbly it gets when riding? I'm considering the Topeak 15l for my Brompton, too.

Never weighed it, but it’s always been very solid, don’t notice it’s there

Hi Terry thanks for the videos along with the Brompton Traveler these videos have been really helpful as a guide and instructional for my impending Brompton touring which I’m hoping to start this month (May 21)…. I think we’re almost neighbours as I’m in North Wiltshire - maybe we’ll bump into each other on the road? All the best for future adventures…. Nick

That’s good to here Nick and yes I’m just up the road in Bristol perhaps our roads will cross, where are you off to?

"Good Lord! There's a flamingo in the garden!"
    "Never... where?"
"Over there. Look, Wow! Now there's two of 'em!"
"No. There is only one real one. The other is just a reflection."
    "Damn. Now I feel silly."
(Thanks for the video. Very interested in the big Topeak saddle bag.)

The jetboil sounds like the perfect companion to the Brompton for touring. I'd like to see your review!

More videos on the way, thought about Lee woods myself, but there’s often a lot of people about. Maybe one day

Very useful and the MSR Hubba NX is my choice of tent too for touring with my Brompton. You mentioned you use a pump other than the Brompton one when you are touring which has a pressure gauge, which one is that? I have an aged Topeak Road Morph MTB pump, but it doesn't have a pressure gauge so I am looking for one that does. If truth be told I hardly use it as my bikes seldom seem to get punctures (kiss of death now, I'll be sure to get a puncture on my next ride) and at home I use a track pump to inflate tyres. I have a Jetboil as well. Agree that down is the best for warmth and lightness. It packs down, to excuse the pun, so small as well. Most down these days is treated with water repellants. Many thanks.

My pump is from Decathlon, I did a video review if you’re interested. Hope you’ve not cursed yourself with that comment about punctures!

MSR HUBBA one person tent, I’ve done a full review of it if you want to check it out, it’s a great tent
